Earlier this week, Britney Spears shared her experiences of living with a court-ordered legal arrangement controlling her life and it has been compared to an episode of Black Mirror starring Miley Cyrus. You can watch the trailer for the episode below:

Her father, Jamie, has largely overseen her life and career since, though Spears, 39, has been trying to oust him from the role.
During the highly awaited virtual appearance at a court in Los Angeles on Wednesday (23 June), Britney explained she wanted the conservatorship ended - referencing being forced to use birth control and take medication against her will.
After reading Britney's testimony, people were quickly reminded about the Black Mirror episode that featured Miley Cyrus.

In the episode 'Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too', Cyrus plays a pop star called Ashley O who is controlled by her aunt with regards to her career and her personal life.
She's pressured to perform, has a entourage surrounding her and is given medication when she begins 'acting up'. She's later placed into a coma, with songs extracted directly from her brainwaves.
In one scene, Ashley O tells fans: "My aunt has always controlled every aspect of my entire career. And now she has me right where she wants me, lying here, getting sucked dry, basically imprisoned."

At the time of the episode airing, people compared it to Britney and other popstars but now it seems that viewers see the parallels even more clearly.
Taking to social media, one said: "The details in the episode of Black Mirror featuring Ashley O and Britney Spears' testimony are eerily similar, except one's fiction and the other reality."
Another added: "No one can convince me that the Ashley O episode on Black Mirror wasn't 100 percent about Britney Spears."
