Fans think they have noticed that Ryan Reynolds made an accidental extra cameo in his film 6 Underground.

The Netflix action movie, which was released back in 2019, sees Reynolds supposedly appear in a scene he was never supposed to be in, as it would mean that he was in two places at once... something we know that even Hollywood royalty can't pull off.

Looking back to September 2018, Reynolds - who turned 44 today - shared a video on Instagram to update fans on the project.

Leaning against a wall casually, he told his followers: "Best part about shooting with Michael Bay? I don't know. A lot of people would say the action, but for me, it's the stillness. Those quiet moments."

The punchline came when a car suddenly flipped behind him - which, it turns out, is a very telling detail.

After the film was released, Reddit page MovieDetails explained that if you pause the film 14 minutes and 42 seconds in, you can spot a man standing against a wall in the background.

The scene looks very similar to the one in the background of Reynolds' Instagram video, with a black car being catapulted into the air.

Coincidence? I think not...

Recently, Reynolds announced he'll be taking a break from acting to spend time with his family.

The Canadian star has just wrapped up filming Spirited, an Apple TV+ Christmas movie starring Will Ferrell and Octavia Spencer, but shooting scenes for the movie - as well as promoting Free Guy, Red Notice and The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard - has clearly taken its toll.

Reynolds posted on Instagram: "That's a wrap for me on Spirited. Not sure I'd have been ready to say yes to a film this challenging even three years ago.

"Singing, dancing and playing in the sandbox with Will Ferrell made a whole lotta dreams come true. And this is my second film with the great @octaviaspencer.

"Perfect time for a little sabbatical from movie making. I'm gonna miss every second working with this obscenely gifted group of creators and artists.

"These days, kindness matters as much as talent. I've been lucky to work with folks who are flush with both."

He added in an Instagram story that said he will largely be using this time off to focus on parenting.
