Eagle-eyed Sex Education viewers reckon they may have spotted a subtle nod to the war epic 1917 in a recent episode of the show.
And to make things a bit easier for us all, TikTok user @ecclesrose has stitched the two clips together for an easy comparison - check it out below:
Yep, it does seem an unlikely crossover, but viewers are convinced that the Netflix comedy series did its own - slightly less harrowing - version of a scene from 1917.

The Sex Education scene in question, feature Otis (played by Asa Butterfield) running across the school football field as numerous girls whizz past him... until one knocks him off his feet.
In the slightly more harrowing scene from 1917, we see Lance Corporal Schofield (played by George Mackay) running across a war-torn field while bombs go off behind him and his fellow infantrymen run past.
Posting the clips on TikTok, user @ecclesrose wrote: "Was that a 1917 reference in Sex Education I just saw?"

And he wasn't the only one to notice the similarities between the scenes, one person commented: "I thought the exact same thing!"
Another said: "I was wondering where I recognised it from!"
While a third person wrote: "Yes! I noticed that, too. F***ing hilarious."
Someone else added: "I'm so glad someone else thought this."
The eagerly-anticipated third season of Sex Education landed on Netflix on 17 September and has been a huge hit with fans.

In fact, it was off to a flying start with the very first scene of the new season grabbing people's attention in a big way - you know what scene I'm talking about, you filthy animals.
The chaotic opening montage reacquainted us with the students, teachers and parents of Moordale High, who were all well and truly putting the sex into Sex Education.
Firstly, we had Otis enjoying a late-night romp in a car, then Eric and Adam getting down to business and Ola and Lily partaking in some strange extra-terrestrial stuff.
And viewers were left reeling - taking to Twitter one wrote: "THE OPENING SCENE OF SEASON 3 ARE YOU F*****G KIDDING ME I AM TRAUMATIZED FOR LIFE."

While someone else asked: "Why is the opening scene a porno? Lmfao."
All three seasons of Sex Education are streaming on Netflix now.
