Dave Betton, a Britain's Got Talent star who appeared on the show alongside his son Dean in 2020, has died at the age of 82.
Dean shared a tribute to his dad as the performing duo had impressed audiences and been described by Simon Cowell like 'a mug of hot chocolate'.
He said: "I always looked up to Dad and he inspired me to take up singing, quite late in the game. He was definitely a local legend in his time – he would pack out the clubs.
"I wanted him to experience a big live TV audience, even though he'd retired, and when we got such a huge response on Britain's Got Talent, I was made up.'
"I felt so proud of him, he knocked them out. The tributes he has received this last week on my post about his death on Facebook has been phenomenal with over 400 messages."

Dean said at the start of October that his dad had passed away after 'a very brief illness' and described the man as a 'legend' who 'lit up a room wherever he went'.
According to the Daily Mail, Dave was living in Lytham in the years following his appearance on Britain's Got Talent.
Before their appearance on BGT, Dave had been performing for 50 years while Dean had found work as a Robbie Williams impersonator.
Wanting his dad to get a bigger stage for his singing skills, Dean got them onto the talent show where they performed Frank Sinatra's 'That's Life'.
The duo got lots of approval from the judges as they were called 'perfect'.
