Tom Hardy leaves fans baffled after making risqué Kathy Bates confession and rapping about Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin
Fans of Tom Hardy have been left perplexed after he released a rap album, featuring some unusual lyrics
Tom Hardy is known for his many acting roles, whether it's as Batman's nemesis Bane, Mad Max, or 1960s London gangsters Ronnie and Reggie Kray in Legend, Hardy has done a wide variety of roles.
But a new release from the actor surpasses even being strapped to the front of a car during a post-apocalyptic chase while Nicholas Hoult screams 'what a lovely day!', because Hardy has just released a new rap album, Variety reports.
Those only familiar with Hardy's work as an actor may not know that he also releases music under the name Frankie Pulitzer, with the latest release being a collaboration with underground rap group Czarface, which includes Inspectah Deck of Wu-Tang Clan, as well as 7L & Esoteric.

The album is named Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer, and includes some lyrics which have left some scratching their heads.
Movie fans will recognise references to the Green Goblin from Spider-Man, who was played by Willem Defoe in the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies.
Hardy, or Frankie Pulitzer, says in the song: "I be somewhat of a scientist like Willem Dafoe, If you know then you know, Goblin up crumbs".
There's also references to another Marvel character in Doctor Doom, saying: "Doctor Doom how I’m the Victor the Scripture".
Another song called Mad Technology takes things to a more bizarre place, with references to two books by acclaimed horror novelist Stephen King, these being Cujo, about a dog that contracts rabies and goes on a killing spree, and Misery, which features the disturbing and obsessive Kathy Bates, who is even name-checked in an x-rated way.
The song says: "You sh**-for-brain no-name lame, that bites like Cujo, I’d rather masturbate to Kathy Bates than hear you flow, And you know that Misery, it loves company."
Other songs feature a more highbrow approach, including reciting a monologue from Shakespeare's Richard IIII.
Fans have been left with a mixed reaction, with people taking to social media to share their thoughts.
One couldn't believe it, writing: "this cannot be real wtfff".
Another wrote: "Please sound like Bane."
A third posted: "he already has a couple songs out with czarface that came out years ago and I still can’t believe that’s tom hardy."
Some were absolutely delighted to find out that Hardy also raps, with one writing: "Tom Hardy is such a legend. I was blown away when I found out he rapped."
The album's release comes after the release of the second season of MobLand, in which Hardy became mired in controversy following reports that he had been fired following a contentious season of filming.
It was reported that a decision was even reached that Hardy would not be returning for the show's third season, but this was subsequently taken back, with some rumours even suggesting taht Guy Ritchie had a hand in smoothing things over.
