Celebrity Traitors has debuted a surprising first in its latest episode when Michael Sheen delivered a hidden message at the roundtable which carried out a theory fans of the show have long been calling for.
Celebrity Traitors season two has been a surprisingly tense addition to the series, with claims in season one that everyone was ‘too nice’ to each other being mostly done away with.
Between the Joanne and Miranda feud, Ross’ murder in plain sight, and the ongoing battle within the turret between James and the other traitor’s, the business end of this season has really been heating up.
Arguably though the most aggressive move made in the last episode of Celebrity Traitors wasn’t an obvious one, it was Michael Sheen marshalling the entire to group to vote for Jerry Hall, even though they probably did know she was a faithful. By doing so though, despite the fact they essentially knowingly voted out a faithful for one of the first times in the show, it could actually end up being a brilliant move that spells doom for Maya Jama, James Acaster, and maybe even King Kenny.
Michael’s hidden message to think about having a ‘strong faithful team’ directly led to Jerry being booted

During the roundtable the faithful came up short with a genuine theory of who could be a traitor beyond an incredibly weak theory about Leigh-Anne.
Michael’s message then made the coming vote incredibly clear when he said: “Moving forward maybe we do need to think about having the strongest faithful team we can have, so if that has any bearing on people’s thinking… if we’re not sure about who to vote for.”
This then led to most of the room voting for Jerry in a decision that many online are pretty confident was aimed at her. Jerry was undeniably iconic this season, but her ability to root out the traitors has, to put it bluntly, left a lot to be desired and instead she tended to simply inject chaos into the castle.

One fan on X posted: “Michael Sheen being the first faithful to my knowledge that has expressed that the group should consider voting out weak faithfuls if they don't know who they think the traitor is. This is a good move tbh.”
This has long been mooted by fans as a potential tactic due to how often strong faithfuls are voted out simply for being outspoken. Another replied saying: “She was a traitor when she said it, but Hannah Fry said the same thing and voted for Jerri for that reason. It’s absolutely the correct game play. Someone has to go, get rid of the people not contributing.”
In voting out Jerry however the faithful may have actually set up an endgame which could see two different traitors at serious risk, even though she wasn’t one herself.
Jerry being voted out only leaves two real options to have killed Ross Kemp: Maya and James
One of the big mysteries of the latest episode was the idea that Ross Kemp was killed in plain sight.
Whilst no one has managed to clock on that it was a forced yawn that ended his iconic run on the show, they did however figure out that it probably took place in the library, suggesting that maybe it involved the perfume bottle.
If this was the case there now are only two people left who were in the library who could’ve done this: Maya Jama and James Acaster.

Though Jerry didn’t seem to remember what happened to Ross the faithful could now by process of elimination figure out that, unless they consider Sharon or Kenny who said they were ‘floating around’ the most obvious candidates are the pair of actual traitors.
This was picked up on by some keen-eyed fans on X, with one saying: “I’m actually stressing because they now know both Jerry and Ross were faithfuls, meaning that if they follow the library perfume theory the only people left are James and Maya, both traitors.”
Celebrity Traitors returns tonight on BBC One at 8pm.
