Jeremy Clarkson was left just ‘days’ away from death last year after a serious health incident landed the presenter in hospital receiving emergency surgery.
Clarkson’s Farm is returning next week in what could be the last season ever, and will feature a closer look at a ‘devastating’ incident where the farm had to be put under emergency procedures.
Whilst it won’t include the recent ‘Great British Farm-Fest’ which has seen Clarkson receive criticism on social media, it will focus on Clarkson’s serious health incident which saw him rushed to surgery.
Clarkson revealed in an interview with The Times last year that he noticed symptoms after diving from a boat whilst on holiday in the Seychelles, saying: “I always try and dive off a boat on every holiday because at my age you never know when your last dive is going to be, or your last anything, for that matter.

"When I finally reached the beach my lungs were full of water and I realised I can’t do it any more."

He returned home and said he felt ‘clammy, with a tightness in his chest’, stating that his arm froze and he was experiencing pins and needles.
After being rushed to hospital he had a CAT scan which revealed that two vital arteries were occluded and he had two stents fitted into his chest. Clarkson has since claimed he was told he was ‘days from death’.
The Sun have revealed the effect this incident has on Clarkson as shown in season five of the Prime Video show.
They state that he tries to cut down a tree despite being told to rest by doctors after his surgery, with Clarkson being forced to give up due to the pain and difficulties breathing.
In another scene he says: “I’m back and I’m not dead – the reaper will have to wait. It was f*cking close though.”
He goes on to give more detail on what made him realise he had a problem, telling Kaleb on the show: “I was scrolling on my phone, if I hadn’t been doing that I wouldn’t have got pins and needles in my arm and if I hadn’t got pins and needles, I wouldn’t have gone ‘hang on, am I having a heart problem’ and wouldn’t have gone to hospital.”
“They put me in this big polo mint and they found out I got really bad culinary heart problems.
“So you’ve got three arteries that feed your heart with blood to keep it pumping, one of them totally blocked, one of them looked like something dangling from the roof of a cave in the Peak District and one of them got so clogged up, it had to form what looked like branches, so my heart wasn’t getting any blood.”
He explained that it was actually a doctor that told him he was ‘days’ away from a heart attack if he hadn’t started showing symptoms and come to hospital.
Clarkson’s Farm season five releases June 3rd on Prime Video.
