A controversial new dating show will force contestants to make an incredibly difficult choice.

And no, it’s not another version of Love Island where the lads have to choose which pair or swim shorts to re-wear that day.

Couple to Throuple will mix couples with singles for something a little more polyamorous than putting all their eggs in one basket. Watch the trailer here:

Hosted by Scott Evans with sex and relationship expert Shamyra Howard, the series is set to land on Peacock today (8 February).

Four ‘curious couples’ arrive at a remote tropical resort where they meet, mingle and date a group of singles – some of whom are experienced in polyamory.

Peacock says: “With three times the fun, the feelings, and drama, these relationships are put through the ultimate test to see if they are the perfect match.”

Over the course of a month, the couples can invite one of the 14 singles to join them in a throuple at the steamy paradise.

Beds in their rooms are specifically designed to fit three as Howard guides the couples to explore their willingness to embrace polyamory.

The show sees couples welcome a third into their relationship.

And being in a throuple obviously isn’t just about some fun, hot sex in paradise – it requires trust and communication, like any other relationship does.

So, the difficult choice the contestants will need to make?

Well, at the end, the couples will need to decide they want to commit as a throuple, go back home as a couple or, leave single.

There’s one same-sex couple on the show, Ashmal and Rehman as well as three others, some of them eager to explore polyamory for the very first time, with ages ranging from 27 to 32.

Users on X joked Couple to Throuple ‘looks messy as all hell’ as they say: “I’m sat.”

Couples must make a difficult decision at the end.

Others wrote: “Couple to Throuple???? Yeah this show is probably about to be a hoot.”

One even put: “Couple to Throuple is exactly as messy as it sounds, and I will be glued to my screen for every second of it.”

Many are already enjoying the ‘drama’ of the unique dating show which Evans said was a ‘no-brainer’ for him to be apart of.

He told NBC Insider he wanted to be onboard since he first heard about it and says: “This show is going t surprise from beginning to end.”

Peacock is available in the UK to those with a Sky TV package or a NOW Entertainment Membership. Couple to Throuple is also now available to stream on Hayu.
