A bride has gone viral she had black paint thrown all over her on her wedding day, leading to her sister-in-law receiving a suspended prison sentence.
The bride in question, Gemma Monk, has now appeared on Good Morning Britain to discuss the incident – revealing that the incident left her with one major question.
Monk had rocked up to her wedding in an £1,800 dress hoping it would be the best day of her life, only for her sister-in-law Antonia Eastwood to chuck paint all over the soon-to-be-lucky bride.
Luckily, she was able to find another dress and get herself cleaned up in time to still go through with the wedding, but she still took her sister-in-law to court, and Antonia was hit with a ten-month suspended sentence.
Monk, 35, explained how she was able to source another wedding dress at such short notice
Appearing on Good Morning Britain, the bride answered a much-asked question: how she was able to source a wedding dress at just a couple of hours’ notice.

When asked how she was able to find a wedding dress after her initial one became covered in paint, she said: “So, my usher, she was amazing, and I can't thank her and Oakwood House enough. They made my dream come true.”

The 35-year-old mum of two explained that her usher was able to get a dress ‘from her shop’ so that she could walk down the aisle.
Monk also added that she is planning to ‘do it all again’ and will walk down the aisle for another ceremony soon with a new dress.
The mum-of-two still doesn’t know how her sister-in-law learned about bridal door she walked through
Monk explained that, after her dad drove her and her bridesmaids to the venue, she was expecting to go straight in.
She was instead told she had to go through a ‘bridal door’ around the back, which was the first she learned of this.
Speaking on the ITV morning show though, she said: “I didn't know about this bridal door, so how did they?
“Because they knew where I was entering because they was waiting behind the wall.”
Monk walked through the bridal corridor and explained that as she was standing waiting for her dad she heard her name being called, and after turning around she was ‘splashed’ and ‘knew instantly who it was’, appearing on the verge of tears as she explained.
Her sister-in-law has explained why she did it in a new interview
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Antonia said she feels ‘ashamed’ but explained why she did it and what has happened to her since.
She said: “It’s not me. I’ve never been in trouble with the police before. Ever. I had a full-blown panic attack on the day I was sentenced. I was petrified I’d go to prison. It has all taken its toll.”
Whilst she stated she ‘didn’t know why she did it’ and that it was a ‘spur of the moment thing’, she accused Gemma of ruining her own wedding first.
Antonia claims she tried to ‘trip her’ at her own wedding due to a supposed long last family feud, a claim that Gemma has strongly denied.

She also suggested that the paint was in her car by simple coincidence, saying: “My daughter Hollie had just given birth to our first grandchild and I’d been using some black paint to do our new granddaughter’s handprints and footprints.
“It was child-friendly, watered-down black paint in a tub of around 200ml and it happened to be in the side pocket of the car.
“I saw her [Gemma] get out of her car – she was a few yards away. Then I just shouted to her and threw the paint. It hit the back of her dress.”
