3 Netflix thrillers to binge after I Will Find You as Harlan Coben drama debuts to record 24 million views

A Netflix thriller very similar to I Will Find You has a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes

I Will Find You is the first Netflix Harlan Coben thriller to be set in the US, but has continued the major success of the previous series which were set in the UK.

Whilst not quite meeting the crazy heights of Fool Me Once, which only recently was knocked out of Netflix’s all-time top ten by His & Hers, I Will Find You has had a massively successful opening weekend.

In just four days the show was watched 24 million times, the biggest new Netflix TV series debut of 2026.

Though some fans were less than pleased with what they thought were big plot holes in the show’s major twist, many have been loving the series and calling it the best Coben Netflix drama in years.

If you loved I Will Find You the option to simply watch all of the other Coben thrillers like Missing You and Lazarus are there, but if you want a thriller to binge which scratches a similar itch (but doesn’t have a Harlan Coben book it’s based on) here are three of the best.

Pieces of Her (2022)

I Will Find You has a pretty great cast, with Sam Worthington, Britt Lower, Milo Ventimiglia, and Clancy Brown all starring.

None of these however quite have the career and prestige of Toni Colette, who was nominated for an Oscar in The Sixth Sense and became a modern horror icon in Hereditary.

Colette stars alongside Bella Heathcoate as a mother and daughter who live in Georgia.

The mother, Laura, is caught up in a shooting at a diner and shocks her daughter Andy by ruthlessly despatching of the shooter.

This forces the truth of Laura’s dark past to come to the surface, terrifying Andy.

The Globe and Mail, reviewing the show, said: “Pieces of Her is a thriller with an outstanding, can’t-take-your-eyes-away performance in the main role.”

Behind Her Eyes (2021)

If you were watching I Will Find You and you thought: “This plot twist was pretty great, but I wish it were about ten times more insane and made you rewind to make sure you heard it right”, then 2021’s Behind Her Eyes is the show for you.

In a synopsis that does not do justice to the scale of plot twist we are talking about here, the show follows a young woman who begins an affair with her boss at a psychiatrist’s office whilst simultaneously befriending his wife.

The show stars Simona Brown and Tom Bateman, but also a pair of stars before they hit new levels of fame in the last year.

Robert Aramayo, who starred in the movie I Swear which looks at the life of John Davidson, and Eve Hewson, who had a major role in Spielberg’s Disclosure Day, both playing supporting roles in Behind Her Eyes.

Dear Child (2023)

Behind Her Eyes and Pieces of Her are similar to I Will Find You in that they are undeniably a little bit sloppy and have middling reviews from critics even if they are a hit with fans who want an easy-to-watch twisty plot to binge.

If what you want however is something with a similar plot but genuine critical acclaim, Dear Child is probably your best bet.

The limited series sits at a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and follows the story of a woman who was imprisoned with two children over a long period, and the police investigation that happens when she finally escapes after 13 years.

One 9/10 IMDB review called it ‘unsettling in the best way’, comparing it to the iconic Dark because of its twisty nature and German production.

They said: “I watched it at night and it gave me the creeps which I love!! It has been a long time since Netflix brought out a new series that was this engaging in my opinion so I highly recommend if you are into dark, psychological mysteries.”

A ringing endorsement if there ever was one.
