Netflix have a secret code which unlocks a bunch of hidden series, including shows that would make a perfect follow-up series to Harlan Coben’s Run Away.
Run Away has been a massive hit so far for Netflix, with the Harlan Coben show sitting at the top of the TV streamer’s charts in the UK despite the release of the finale of Stranger Things and the new Ricky Gervais special.
The series, starring Ruth Jones, James Nesbitt, Alfred Enoch, and Minnie Driver, is also the second most-streamed Netflix series in the entire world behind only Stranger Things.
When looking for the next series to watch after you’ve torn through the eight episodes of Run Away, though, it can sometimes be hard to find the exact right series.
Advert
Anyone who loved Run Away will probably have already seen Fool Me Once, with the show being in Netflix’s top 10 all-time most-streamed list.

Add to that the fact that Missing You, Netflix’s last Harlan Coben show, was widely panned, and you have to be a bit smarter when it comes to looking for the next show to watch.
Netflix has a nifty little hack in which you can put in codes to get back specific genres, including thrillers and crime thrillers.
To access the full list of thrillers, you search the code 8933, and to search for crime thrillers, you search the code 10499.
Here are three underrated gems on Netflix from those lists which are the perfect next watch after Run Away.
Inside Man

Inside Man’s intertwining pair of plots is the perfect accompanying watch to Run Away.
Starring David Tennant and Stanley Tucci, the story follows the seemingly unlikely stories of a death row criminologist solving crimes from prison and a vicar with secrets.
The show was met with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 67%, with Lucy Mangan of The Guardian giving the show four stars and calling it ‘rollickingly confident, meaty, funny, [and] clever’.
The Fall

The three-season show features a powerhouse performance from Gillian Anderson and is widely considered one of the most underrated crime shows ever made.
The Fall follows a police detective investigating a ‘politically sensitive’ murder in Belfast, and sees Anderson joined by Jamie Dornan in the cast.
With an 8.1 on IMDb and 85% on Rotten Tomatoes, the first season has a near-perfect 96%, with Gerard O’Donovoan praising its ‘skin-crawling intensity’ in his five star review.
Fearless

The series starred the late great Helen McCrory and a pre-Sinners and MCU fame Wunmi Mosaku in a scene-stealing role.
Fearless is just six episodes long but packed with plot twists, following a human rights lawyer out to prove the innocence of a man found guilty 14 years prior.
With a 7.5 on IMDb and a 73% on Rotten Tomatoes, Louisa Mellor of Den of Geek called it ‘thrilling TV’.
