Streamer Myron Gaines, whose ‘one-sided monogamy’ and misogynistic beliefs were featured in Louis Theroux’s new Netflix documentary, has hit back at Theroux in a series of posts.

Gaines is one of the streamers covered in Theroux’s Inside the Manosphere doc, the first that the British documentarian has done with Netflix.

Inside the Manosphere looks at ‘pro-masculinity’ streamers who often espouse sexist and misogynistic views, with viewers of the documentary online saying that Gaines ‘embarrassed himself’ in his appearance.

The far-right influencer spoke about his ‘one-sided monogamy’ in the doc and how he would sleep with his other women whilst his girlfriend stayed loyal to him.

Viewers however ironically found out that despite claiming she ‘loved’ their arrangement him and his girlfriend broke up after filming.

Now though, Gaines is claiming that he was edited ‘out of context’ by Theroux.

He posted a lengthy tweet also firing a shot at YouTuber Chris Williamson, but predominantly slamming Theroux. The influencer said: “And now Louis Theroux, disingenuous as ever in his so-called journalism, has released his manosphere documentary.

“He selectively edited and framed the footage to push a clear agenda, conveniently omitting key context and moments that would have told the full, unfiltered story.”

Gaines also recorded his interactions with Theroux and promised to ‘expose’ what the documentary was ‘too scared’ to include.

This included a claim from the influencer that a scene was cut in which Theroux pressed Gaines over his antisemitic views, claiming: “He did try to ask me about the Jews and I had a whole debate with him about Hitler and everything, and he lost that, and he didn't put that in there for obvious reasons."

Gaines posted a seven-hour video of his most recent Kick stream discussing the documentary on X, claiming that when he was first contacted he was ‘hesitant’ but he had agreed due to a ‘hit piece’ on fellow misogynistic right-wing influencer Andrew Tate.

The influencer also claimed that Netflix purposely ‘cuts out context’ for what polarising people says, calling the streamer ‘woke garbage’.

Gaines promised to provide extra footage that would lead ‘no one’ to take Theroux seriously again but failed to share this in the seven-hour stream, calling Theroux a ‘left-leaning journalist’ who specialises in ‘talking to Conservatives and taking what they say out of context’.

The documentary shows clips of some of the statements the far-right ‘red-pill’ streamer has made in the past, including a claim that men should be the ‘dictator’ in relationships.

He said: “I dictate when I want to put d*ck in you b*tch and then you dictate when the sandwiches come by my dictation.

“Women love guys like this who tell them how it is. This isn’t open to interpretation or how you feel, or what you think. It doesn’t matter what you f*cking think.”

Speaking on LADbible’s Honesty Box Theroux claimed that the documentary was the work he is proudest of.
