I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! star Nella Rose was forced to leave camp after being rushed to see the jungle medics, with a source now saying it was ‘unfortunate’ and sharing details on the incident.

Viewers tuning into last night’s (28 November) episode may have noticed that the 26-year-old YouTuber was not present during the live segment of the hit ITV show, which is filmed between 7am and 8am in Australia.

The medical once-over meant that Rose, who viewers previously saw clash with Fred Siriex and Nigel Farage, was exempt from last night’s trial.

Host Declan Donnelly told viewers: "Now, unfortunately, Nella is being seen by the medic so she'll be back later, but it means she's now exempt from this trial.

“So let's go in there and see who will be doing it."

In a statement ITV explained: "For medical reasons, Nella Rose is being treated by the show’s on site medics and will be returning to camp shortly.

“As a result, she is exempt from the next trial."

The 26-year-old sought treatment from on-site medics for unknown reasons.

Some I'm A Celeb fans questioned whether it meant Rose's time in the jungle was up, especially after the departure of food critic Grace Dent on Monday.

The MasterChef star, 50, called her exit 'one of the saddest things in my life' when she left the hit show due to medical reasons.

However, ITV has since confirmed that she is already back with her campmates, which includes the likes of Sam Thompson, Josie Gibson, Tony Bellew and Jamie-Lynn Spears.

An ITV spokesperson said: "During last night's live broadcast, Nella Rose required medical treatment on site and was deemed unable to take part in the trial.

"Nella has since rejoined camp."

Now a source has opened up on the incident telling the Sun that it wasn’t related to a trial.

The source told the publication: “It was unfortunate timing that Nella had to be taken out of camp just before the live scenes.

“She had to be seen by the team with a physical, medical emergency but it was dealt with swiftly.

“Nella has had a rough time so far but she is a tough cookie and will be back smiling and laughing with the other campmates in no time - this wasn’t anything to do with her mental health.”

Hollyoaks’ star Nick Pickard and Farage will be facing the latest challenge - titled In Too Deep.
