The ‘original Holly’ posted an emotional tribute as Stranger Things came to an end.
As the Netflix show’s fifth and final season focused a fair bit on the youngest Wheeler kid, the creators chose a new actor to play her.
And it’s fair to say that Nell Fisher absolutely smashed it. But before she stepped into Holly’s shoes, the role had been shared for several years by identical twin sisters, Anniston and Tinsley Price.

They played little Holly when they were young toddlers in 2016 all the way through to 2022, and now fans have been left in disbelief over what the ‘original Holly’ looks like now.
With the pair now documenting their time as ‘all-star cheerleaders’ on social media, it was rumoured among Stranger Things fans and confirmed by them that they ‘don’t do acting anymore’.
But that’s not to say they don’t treasure their time on the show, sharing sets of behind-the-scenes snaps from previous seasons.
“We adored season 1 of Stranger Things, and we hope you enjoy some behind-the-scenes footage taken during our first season,” their official account shared on TikTok.
“We were 3, and the Stranger Things universe was just starting. From our first day to the wrap party, we loved every moment!”
On another photo dump, they wrote that the cast and crew ‘will forever be core memories to us’.
“So much laughter and so many memories!” they added.
They also described working on season three as ‘pure childhood joy’.
“Carnival rides, set pups, and so many fun memories. It was our first time 1) getting audio wired, 2) green (well blue) screen work, and 3) being on set without our twin because we alternated days,” they added.
While fans said they ‘wish they could have been in the finale’, they’re happy to see that it ‘looks like they are doing great things'.
But some have only just made the realisation about the ‘original Holly’ that: “THERES TWO???”
“WAIT THEY WERE TWINSSSS,” others echoed.
Plenty are also simply nostalgic as they can’t believe how much the twins have grown up since Stranger Things started way back when.
“You girls are the cutest! Now you are all grownup. I miss y’all so much!” one put.
The Duffer Brothers previously spoke about the decision to cast Fisher as Holly for season five.
“She was just a little kid. Even Season one, when we’re filming her, it was basically whatever one of the young twins would do, we would just try to capture it in real time,” Ross Duffer told Variety.
“So we didn’t really have a voice for her. In the initial scripts, Holly was a little shyer and a little more withdrawn. And then as we found Nell, who’s such a character…”
“And more of an extrovert,” Matt chimed in, as Ross concluded: “We started infusing Nell’s personality into Holly.”
