Ruby Wax has only just arrived in the jungle for her appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and already the comedian is making a massive impression on viewers.
The American-British celebrity has received criticism for how she has acted in the first episode of I'm A Celeb, with some viewers calling her the ‘rudest’ contestant ever, whilst others have defended her dry sense of humour.
The celeb is not as well known in the UK as some of her other jungle counterparts; however, some fans watching discovered her connection to one of the most viral ever clips of accused murderer and former NFL star O.J. Simpson.
Wax was the lead of BBC show Ruby Wax Meets… in which she would interview some of the top stars of the entertainment world, with her episode interviewing Simpson spawning one of the most infamous clips of him.

Simpson is a former NFL star who was accused of murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown, and her friend Ron Goldman, before being found not guilty in a trial that became one of the most talked-about events in media history.

Whilst he was found not guilty in criminal court, Simpson, who died last year, was sued in civil court by the families of the victims, eventually paying them $33,500,000 in a wrongful death suit in 1997.
Speaking about the interview with Simpson in a subsequent TV interview with Charlie Pickering on The Weekly, Wax spoke about how he ‘really did like’ her but said he ‘kept goading [her] to bust him’.
Some of the other clips from the interview, which will regularly go viral on social media, involve people coming up to Simpson saying they want to ‘shake the hand of a murderer’, something he obliges with.
Eventually, after spending a full day together, Wax pressed Simpson on the accusation that he murdered Brown and Goldman, leading the former NFL star and actor to say: “I got screwed.”
She went on to ask one last time if he did it, leading him to say: “No I didn’t. Nope. Did not do it.”
The episode then cut to Wax in a control room, where she explained that after they finished filming, O.J. said he had a surprise for her in his hotel room, something she stated she thought was his idea of a joke.
It then showed footage of O.J. jumping out pretending to stab her with a banana whilst making sound effects from Psycho.
Talking about this later, Wax revealed: “He did it twice because the camera crew were so alarmed that they dropped the camera.”
One fan tweeted during last night's episode of I'm A Celeb: "Wait Ruby wax is the interviewer in that video of OJ Simpsons idea of a joke??????!!"
Whilst many may not know the iconic clip features Wax, she is undeniably making a name for herself on I’m a Celeb already.
An early interaction between the interviewer and YouTuber Angry Ginge had fans online raging, with her suggesting she wouldn’t call him Ginge before saying “oh that’s why you changed it” when he revealed his real name was Morgan Burtwistle.

She also told him to ‘move out the way’, joking that he was blocking the view of her on a camera.
This led to a mixed reaction, with one fan tweeting: “Good god Ruby might be the rudest celeb I’ve ever seen on this show.”
Another tweeted that she 'isn’t funny'.
Others, meanwhile, suggested that people weren’t getting her humour, with one post saying: “Absolutely fascinated at people not realising ar Ruby is a force of sarcastic 80s/90s female comedy.”
