The Traitors star Armani breaks silence on ‘secret gameplan’ she had after being banished

The Traitors star Armani has spoken out about her ‘secret gameplan’, after being banished in just the third episode.

Armani Gouveia is one of the quickest Traitors to ever be banished after Faithfuls caught wind of her plan to exude confidence, control conversation, and place herself front and centre as a trustworthy Faithful.

The plan backfired, with Alex being the first to raise suspicions about Armani at the third roundtable.

This was backed up by others, with the final nail in the coffin being delivered by Armani’s sister Maia, who admitted she had doubts.

Several votes later and Armani was leaving the Scottish castle after being banished, leaving sister Maia in tears.

The Traitor revealed in an interview on This Morning however that she had a ‘secret gameplan’.

She said that the moment she knew she was gone was when her sister said she had doubts, saying: “I knew it was the end of me.

“[Maia] said 60% [sure I was a Traitor] – you stab me once, and then you twist it in.”

She then said the pair had a ‘game plan’, saying: “She forgot. She would take one side of the room, I would take the other, and then we could come back and give our information to each other.”

She cheekily added: “Obviously, I would love my sister to win and then give me back half the money”.

Despite being able to look back on her time in the castle and seeing people catch up on her more obvious turns as a Traitor, Armani revealed that she isn’t sure whether she would change much.

She said: “I want to say that I would, but I don’t know if I could – that’s the problem really.”

Viewers were predominantly very positive about Armani’s appearance on This Morning, with one commenting: “Aw she's a great sport. I'm not surprised she was banished, but she was fun to watch!

“Linda is soo obvious haha. Minah is playing it so well, I think she'll be in until the end.”

With Armani out, it leaves Linda, Minah, and anyone the Traitors come to recruit in the coming days.

While Minah has gone seemingly undetected so far, Linda looks very likely to follow Armani out of the castle in the coming episodes – with Jake having called her out from the very first episode for turning her head when Claudia spoke to the Traitors.

The show returns tonight at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer, with the previous episode having hinted that the three people who left the show before it began are set to return.
