Bloke who had sex for first time on Virgin Island reveals what his now girlfriend thinks about him being on show

The Virgin Island participant who had sex for the first time on the show has since got a girlfriend and talked about what she thinks about the show.

While the Channel 4 series where 12 people aged between 22 and 30 who haven't yet had sex are sent to an island has ended, there is only one among their number who lost his virginity during the show.

Dave, a 24-year-old accountant, slept with sex surrogate Kat during the final episode, with many Virgin Island viewers praising him for losing his virginity and the way he acted afterwards.

Kat said she felt 'good about being the person with him at that important moment', and since the end of the show Dave has got a girlfriend.

He's stayed in touch with the other participants as they have a group chat, and Holly has lost her virginity since the show ended, but the rest have yet to do it.

As for what his girlfriend, who he met on Hinge six months after the show was over, thinks of Dave being on Virgin Island, he revealed that she had actually watched the first few episodes of the Channel 4 series.

He told The Sun: "She watched the first four episodes, but it’s getting a bit much now. You don’t want to see your partner with someone else, even if it was a year ago."

There was a viewing party to see the final episodes of Virgin Island, but Dave said his girlfriend wouldn't be going along to watch it 'for obvious reasons'.

However, she has seen what he was like before he met her and explained that she'd 'openly said it’s like watching a completely different person'.

After five dates he'd told her he had been on a 'confidence boosting TV show', but didn't want to reveal all of the details at that moment.

As for the other participants, Holly has lost her virginity since the end of the show and got a boyfriend five months after filming ended.

The relationship didn't last but she reckons being on Virgin Island has resulted in her becoming 'a new, improved version' of herself, and she said that after she lost her virginity she let the group chat know.

"I messaged the chat almost as soon as it happened. I was excited to tell them," she explained.

Emma and Viraj went on a date but didn't stay together, while Louise has agreed to go on a date with Jason as she reckons he could 'laugh your pants off', though she's since relocated to New Zealand so there's a bit of distance to deal with.
