MrBeast made two predictions for his life now 10 years ago in video only just released

Fans got to see footage of the young YouTube star strategising his next steps for online domination

MrBeast has taken a trip down memory lane in his latest video and it left him feeling quite nostalgic.

The YouTube star, real name Jimmy Donaldson, looked back on the last ten years on his life and how far he has come. He set a decade-old video titled 'Hi Me in 10 Years' live for the very first time on Sunday (5 October), which showed him listing his goals for the future when he was just 17-years-old.

As I'm sure you can appreciate, MrBeast's life has changed a lot since he was sat strategising his next steps for world domination in his childhood bedroom in Greenville, North Carolina.

The social media star has done a lot of good in the world over the last decade, such as curing 1,000 people's blindness and forking out for shoes for 20,000 kids in South Africa who had never had a pair for their own two feet.

But he's had a fair deal of backlash too thanks to his online stunts - such as when he was accused of putting a man's life at risk for the sake of content just last month.

Either way, MrBeast has become the single most subscribed-to channel on YouTube, as he's got an army of over 444million fans on the video sharing platform.

In the original video which he filmed ten years ago, he attempted to look 'deep in the future and try to predict what his life would be like and what the channel would be like'. One of those predictions was about how many subscribers he would have - and the teenage MrBeast thought his 'entire life would be a failure' if he hadn't hit a million by this year.

If only he knew, eh?

The younger version of the YouTuber was seen saying: "Hi, me in 10 years! Hey! Oh my God. I'm gonna schedule upload this video ten years in the future. So, you're gonna see this in 2025."

Reacting to his past self, the 27-year-old said: "Ah, this is crazy! Look how young I look! Look at the difference! This me doesn't have a beard, doesn't have a moustache.

"I want you to understand what's going through this 17-year-old's mind. We didn't have tons of money growing up. It was probably like a normal middle-class family. But in 2008, we ended up going bankrupt.

"So we had nothing. Like, my parents actually filed for bankruptcy. And I had poured year after year after year of my life, and people weren’t watching the videos…

"Everyone around me was saying, 'Jimmy, you will never be a YouTuber, this isn't realistic, you're chasing a fairytale and you need to like actually focus on whatever you're actually gonna do with your life'.

"And it started to really weigh on the Jimmy you see here because he's like, 'Am I wasting my life? Am I gonna be a failure? Am I gonna be homeless? Will this ever work out?'"

Thankfully, he ended up proving the naysayers wrong - and now he boasts a bank account which is bursting at the seams.

MrBeast said: "I feel like back then, I'm like, 'Man I would love to just be able to provide for myself as a job!' And now, I provide for hundreds of families.

"I have hundreds of full time employees, and we help thousands upon thousands of people through our main channel videos. It is kind of funny in retrospect that 10 years ago, which really isn't that far ago, I was nervous that I wouldn't be able to provide for myself."

Another prediction he made about his future at the age of 17 was what his relationship status would be in a decades time, as he said: "Dude, I'm probably gonna be married and stuff. Man...Woah, watch me not be married and not have a million subscribers, not have any of this, and then you guys just think I'm a big loser."

Reacting to the footage, the present day MrBeast laughed: "Well, you're not married, but you're engaged. You will be married soon. You have a very beautiful fiancee, Thea. Isn't she adorable?

"So, you're much closer on that prediction than the sub count prediction! I have most of those things, and a lot of you probably still think I'm a loser."

MrBeast went on to use this moment of reflection to thank his millions of fans for their continued support, while promising he won't 'ever get tired of YouTube'.

"Honestly, I think YouTube literally runs in my veins at this point," he added. "I love creating content. I love telling stories. I love entertaining people. I love making your guys' day. I love being able to impact lives.

"It's literally everything I love. It probably goes without saying, but I wanna make it exceptionally clear - I am living a fairytale life right now, and I just wanna make sure everyone knows I'm very grateful.

"That 17-year-old, if he could talk to you right now, to those of you who watched the videos and allowed me to become who I am today…he would be on his knees crying and be eternally grateful."
