It's no secret that the majority of lads are not always great in relationships.
Fair play, some guys will manage to always make their girlfriends happy with gifts and by saying what their girlfriends want to hear.
I am not one of those lads. I am no Casanova, I am not smooth, nor am I charismatic, and to be honest, it's a surprise that my girlfriend is still with me.
My girlfriend decided that she'd outline all of this by making a note of all the dumb shit I say to her, in response to the things she says.
I'd just like to state for the record that I am actually a nice person, I just think there's a missing link between the part of my brain that dictates what I should say, and my mouth. Everything just gets jumbled and I end up saying idiotic things.
Luckily, my girlfriend understands that and always sees the funny side.
It's a good job some of these come across as funny, because taken the wrong way it could land me in a lot of trouble.
But as I said, my girlfriend is pretty understanding and is happy to go through life with what can only be described as a doofus.
