Everyone loves their nan, but once the tea and biscuits are cleared away and Eastenders has finished, it can be pretty hard to find things in common.

At the end of a visit you usually want to say your goodbyes and get down the pub.

But, if your grandma was Brenda Willis would be a little different. She would be up before the end of the program, bottle of cider in hand, pressuring you to leave her gaff and get out on the piss.

Ryan, 23, and a big group of mates travel down to Dover one weekend every year to visit his gran, Bristol Post reports, but there's no Classical FM or marmalade being made making.

Instead the 'LAD Gran' loves to get her pulse racing to some Lethal Bizzle, loves a day of boozing and is 'definitely one of the boys', according to Ryan.

"She lives in a retirement home in Dover," Ryan told the Bristol Post. "When she first moved down, we thought we'd make an effort to see her.

"It started with just me, my brother and our mates but it's become a bit of an annual thing - we all look forward to it."

When Ryan and his 15 mates arrive in Dover they can expect to be handed a can of Strongbow by Brenda, who refers to them all by their nicknames.

Brenda, a sesh gremlin from another generation, isn't bound British boozing either. As she lives in Dover the group sometimes pop over to France for a day full of drinking.

"She starts as we mean to go on," Ryan told the Bristol Post. "It's hilarious. You can see her home from the motorway so I usually call her, just to say we are close and will be arriving shortly.

"This one time, as we were pulling up, she came out with this crate of Strongbow. She was stood there, with a walking stick in one hand and a huge crate in the other, looking like she owned the whole place!"

Ryan added: "Because there's so many of us, my uncle has to bring some beds up to the home. One year I slept on a mattress in the medical room while one of the boys stayed with Phyllis next door.

"Even back when we were 18-years-old, when we just started drinking and having gatherings at our house, she would always end up partying with us.

"We used to play drinking games and she was always one of the most involved.

"She has definitely become one of the lads. Even when she sometimes comes up to Weston to visit, I'll come home from work and some of the boys will be there having a coffee and a catch-up with her."

Can anyone else's nan rival our Brenda? I doubt it.
