Cadbury releases first new Twirl flavour that rivals Nestle classic

Cadbury is releasing a brand new Twirl flavour and it's one that could fill a very large hole left by Nestle saying goodbye to one of their classics.

Say hello to the brand new and limited-edition Golden Dipped Twirl. It's a beauty, isn't it?

And it's a bar that could well be one that chocolate lovers up and down the UK are pining for after the beloved Caramac was discontinued - and one Cadbury will be hoping is better received than its Twirl multipack controversy.

As for the details of the bar, it's a classic flake with a golden covering made up of caramelised white chocolate. You'll be getting a much more creamier version of the classic bar, that's for certain.

Golden Dipped Twirl release date and Cadbury's flavours of the past

We've no release date for the Golden Dipped Twirl as of yet. Cadbury is keeping that under wraps.

Mondelez International, which Cadbury, has confirmed we'll get the chocolate bar later in 2026, so it's not too far away.

It's the latest limited release in the Twirl family of chocolate, following on from the Twirl Mint in 2023 and the Twirl Caramel a year before that.

And who can forget the Twirl White Dipped, released last year to fan delight.

Could this be the next limited release to remain a permanent fixture, though? Back in 2021, Cadbury made its Twirl Orange a mainstay after a limited release in 2019. People power where it matters in all its glory right here, folks.

A spokesperson for Mondelēz International said: “Yes, the rumours are true! Some of our eagle-eyed fans may have spotted the new limited-edition Cadbury Twirl Golden Dipped bars are coming.

“We’ll be unveiling the bars nationwide later this year so keep your eyes peeled for further details on the launch.

We promise, it will be worth the wait."

Goodbye Caramac

Launched back in 1959, Nestle took the decision to discontinue the Caramac in 2023 due to low sales numbers.

Even then, though, nostalgia does weird things to people, with the chocolate bar making a comeback in July 2024 to satisfy high demand among shoppers.

It was a 'while stocks last' release, with the product being snapped up quickly and bars being resold for well above their retail price. Scalpers in their worst form, there is no doubt in that!
