A simulation has shown the incredible impact that eating a popular superfood can have on the body - well, that's if you eat it every single day.
All you see online these days is people on TikTok trying to convince you that eating nothing but meat is a great idea, or even the more extreme diet of the Liver King, who managed to convince his family and millions of followers that eating bull's testicles every day is good for your health.
Pretty much every food group can be enjoyed, so long as it is done safely and within moderation, and it's no good listening to the advice of ultra-fit marathon runners or the rich and famous if you want to have realistic health goals.
However, there is one superfood which everyone can afford, and it can do unbelievable things for your body and mind if you have the consistency to enjoy them on a regular basis, and frankly, it seems far easier than completely giving up sugar.
You can pick up a big pack of chia seeds from most supermarkets for under £2 and adding them to your trolley might well prove to be life-changing.

The simulation from 5 Minute Fitness highlights some of the biggest benefits you can have from eating chia seeds, including improvements in heart and gut health, sleep and even your breath.
The video says: "Chia seeds can also improve sleep. Chia seeds are naturally rich in tryptophan, an amino acid that plays a key role in the synthesis of melatonin.
"Chia seeds also strengthen teeth and bones. They are an important source of nutrients that contribute to healthy teeth and bones, and the calcium in them also helps to prevent tooth decay.
"Chia seeds can also help to freshen your breath. They have antibacterial properties that not only freshen breath but also treat canker sores."
Eating chia seeds for weight loss
While celebrities are turning to the likes of Ozempic and Mounjaro to help them achieve their weight loss goals, chia seeds could be a far more affordable and natural answer, without any of the nasty side effects associated with the GLP-1 medications.
Chia seeds are rich in fibre and protein, which may help to prevent obesity and reduce appetite and food intake.
The soluble fibre combines with the water in the stomach to form a gel which also helps to slow down the digestion process and also ease any constipation symptoms.
How to incorporate chia seeds into your diet
I'm not going to recommend adding chia seeds into absolutely everything you eat, as they're unlikely to pair well with pizza or sandwiches.
But, they're typically sprinkled onto plenty of breakfast foods, including yoghurt, cereals and smoothies, or perhaps with some peanut butter and banana on toast. Yum.
If you fancy being healthy while you're eating something typically unhealthy, then it's also worth adding them to your next chocolate pudding. It's a win win.
