McDonald’s is adding a brand-new item to its summer menu that’s set to land in just weeks.

Ah, yes, it’s that time of year again where the season is changing so the fast-food menu is too. Maccies already treated us to a shiny new burger ready for the Euros to start and very soon, we’ll have a new drink to sip with it.

Launched on 29 May, ‘The Hat Trick’ landed on McDonald’s menus around the UK with three three beef patties, two slices of cheese, grilled onions, mustard, and ketchup all sandwiched deliciously between a glazed sesame seed bun.

When the weather is all lovely and sunny and warm (let’s just ignore whatever is going on with it at the moment), a nice cooling McFlurry is a real treat.

But now one of the popular core flavours is going to be hitting the drinks menu.

Oh yeah lads, it’s cold drink season.

Landing in the UK later this month, summer 2024 will see the debut of the Oreo Frappé.

This new drink will feature McDonald’s classic vanilla flavour Frappé base all blended up with ice and Oreo pieces.

Making it extra moreish, it’s then topped off with whipped cream and more Oreo pieces. Wow, I’m dreaming of it already – imagine some fries dipped into that.

Ok, well, even if you’re not part of the chip dipping fan club, this is going to be mega for Oreo and Maccies lovers alike.

The new drink is going to be available in two sizes; regular for £3.09 and large for £3.39.

If you can get through the wait for it, the Oreo Frappé will launch at all McDonald’s menus in the UK and Ireland from 26 June.

Although, despite how much you might like the sound of it, it will only be available for the summer and will leave on 3 September.

When the new food menu landed at the end of last month, it not only saw the introduction of ‘The Hat Trick’ burgere but also the likes of the Chicken Sharebox - filled with six chicken selects, six chicken nuggets and four dips – as well as the 9 Chicken Select Sharebox.

Plus, a fan favourite, Mozzarella Bites made a comeback as the dessert menu saw the addition of Skittles and Galaxy Caramel McFlurries as well as a Galazy Chocolate and Raspberry Pie.

Be right back, just off to dream about Oreo Frappés.
