Brits are going mad for ‘UK version of Raising Cane's’ with 50 restaurants nationwide

UK fast food is always a hit, but when it’s an American brand that’s decided to bestow itself to our population? It’s even better.

We’ve got it all now, from Papa Johns to Chipotle, and even Taco Bell - but one thing we’ve been sorely lacking since KFC came to town is a good chicken place.

Clearly, someone in the corporate-sphere has heard our cries for crispy tenders and juicy sauces and they’ve only gone and done it, haven’t they?

If you’ve not been to Slim Chickens, then you’re missing out.

When a TikTok user, Beth Crawshaw, showed her yummy lunch in a video, people in the comments were practically drooling with jealousy.

She originally explained how she had been seeing a lot of Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers videos from America.

In case you didn't know, Raising Canes is an American fast-food chain which specialises in chicken fingers - and boy are they great.

The brand was founded in 1996 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and it’s only grown in popularity since then.

But because it’s not across the pond yet, she had to try something similar.

Instead, Slim Chicken appears to be a very similar brand with chicken garlic bread and as many sauces as you could want - and it’s actually in 50 locations around the UK, so there's likely one near you.

So giving the 'UK version of Raising Cane's' a try, Beth ordered some toast, which ‘smells like garlic bread’, chicken and some sauces which included a sriracha garlic dip.

That sounds heavenly.

But she wasn’t the only one who thought so too as the comments were rife with hungry people, who agreed that their chicken and sauces were the bomb.

One person wrote: “Slim chickens is UNBELIEVABLE.”

Another said: “Their cayenne ranch is the best!! I didn’t like the slims sauce I could of cried.”

Someone else wrote: “Garlic cheese sauce is unreal.”

A fourth commented: “The buffalo burger is unreal!! Can’t wait to try raising canes in America in a few weeks though.”

And a fifth said: “ OMG WE WENT HERE IT WAS FIIIIIIT.”

Meanwhile, in another TikTok video, one woman said that the OG chain’s sauces were the ‘nectar of all sauces’ and that Slim Chickens did a damn good job of replicating that zest.

Now that the UK is slowly upping its fast-food game, maybe we’ll get a food brand that’s even better so we can brag too - or they could just give us Raising Canes.

Either would do.
