A content creator has claimed to have found the 'secret formula' of Coca-Cola after spending an entire year studying the possibilities.
Having been around for over 130 years, the soft drink still stands head and shoulders above the competition as the most popular in the world.
The fizzy beverage is known for its sweet taste and zesty flavour notes as the ultimate sweet treat for those looking for a 'cheat day' drink.
But while many believe that it's easy to recreate the taste yourself at home, the reality is that people have tried for years to recreate that iconic taste.

The true recipe is a closely guarded secret and the true ingredients will likely never be revealed to the public, much to the dismay of the drink's competitors.

Recently, one YouTuber posted a video sharing how he took it upon himself to work to find the most accurate recipe of the soft drink, 'regardless of if it came from a coca plant' or not.
Known on the social media site as LabCoatz, the channel often posts long videos on unique projects and other science-related content.
As part of his Coca-Cola mission, he even created a spreadsheet to rank how each of his concoctions tasted in comparison to the original.

It's well documented that having too much Coca-Cola can be detrimental to your health, but being able to successfully replicate the taste of it could result in money and success for the person responsible.
After months of 'studying literally every aspect of the drink' by reading scientific papers and carrying out chemical analysis, it seemed like he'd finally cracked the code.
Addressing legal concerns, LabCoatz also noted that Coca-Cola’s formula has never been patented.
He shared a screenshot of all the ingredients needed in his video, which were as follows:

The YouTuber then edited a segment in, showing a number of people trying his 'Lab-Cola' for the first time, with the general consensus being that it tasted very similar.
All that hard work seemed to pay off, with many of his mates struggling to tell it apart from real Coke.
Speaking earlier in the video, LabCoatz said that while it may be expensive to acquire all the ingredients and herbs at first, it will save you a lot of money in the long run with how much you can make and store.
All it took was years of intensive research, as opposed to splashing a couple of quid on a coke bottle.
