Lily Phillips has revealed the reasoning behind her return to religion in wake of her getting baptised for the second time.

The OnlyFans star shared footage of the spiritual ceremony on social media on 28 December, describing it as a 'day to remember forever'.

As she is best known as an adult content creator, the video of her baptism sparked a lot of chatter online.

Phillips - who once slept with 1,113 men in just one day - has since revealed that she has found solace in Christianity after 'deviating from religion' for a few years.

She explained that experiencing 'a little bit of a hardship' in her 'personal life' prompted her to find God once again, before she then sealed the deal with her second baptism.

Speaking to Us Weekly, the 24-year-old said: "I think for a while I’d kind of deviated from religion, and I think I was kind of in denial for a lot of it.

"Quite a big thing happened more in my personal life, where I kind of felt the need to start speaking to God again. I hadn’t really practiced faith for a while.

"I just wanted to get re-baptised to kind of reinstate my relationship with God."

Phillips said her loved ones were 'more than happy' for her to do it, as her relatives have always been religious and she even has a 'close family member' who is a vicar.

"We were always quite close to God growing up and stuff like that," she continued. "They were delighted."

However, some online critics have suggested that Phillips' lifestyle doesn't really fit in with Christian practices - which is an opinion she can 'understand' people having.

Responding to those who don't reckon she makes a 'good Christian', she said: "That’s totally fine. That’s their opinion. I’m definitely not claiming to be a traditional Christian at all.

"Obviously, I’m not against gay marriage. I am also pro-choice. So I definitely don’t have, necessarily, traditional values. But that doesn’t mean to say that I can’t be Christian.

"I would just hope that the Christian community welcomes me, because I guess everyone’s relationship with God is bespoke to them."

Phillips has vowed to make her religion 'more of a priority', while announcing that her risqué line of work will 'take more of a back seat'.

She intends to 'diversify' her wheelhouse this year and branch out into different career sectors, as the Derbyshire-born content creator discussed her aspirations for getting on the telly.

"I’d love to do some more TV work," Phillips said. "I’d love to do some presenting, which would be so fun. I would love to do more YouTube maybe, like show some more of my personality."

Late last year, Phillips revealed which one of her viral stunts she seriously regrets, saying she 'didn’t realise' the impact it would have.
