A content creator who practices the 'hotwifing' lifestyle has revealed why she and her husband decided to open their relationship up and why it's made them stronger as a couple.
Now more than ever it feels like couples are experimenting with different types of polyamory in their relationships.
From swingers to throuples and everything in-between, it sure feels like monogamy isn't the norm these days.
The latest in the long line of polygamy trends is hotwifing – with several couples claiming the trend has saved their relationships.

But what exactly is 'hotwifing' – and how does it differ from other sex trends?
Hotwifing is where a husband gets pleasure from his wife having flings outside of the marriage.

Put simply, the woman will have sex with other partners - male or female - while her husband will either be watching or aware of his wife's activities.
"It’s kind of like letting your friend test drive your car," explained one husband who was quizzed about the topic in an interview with MailOnline.

"He gets to see how well it rides. He’s got to give it back, but it creates a sense of pride. You get a little taste of what my life is like."
How do couples find out they're into 'hotwifing'?
Now I'd imagine it may be pretty awkward having the initial conversation with your partner about opening your relationship up. After all, what is on person is really into it but the other is firmly in camp monogamy?
Fortunately for most couples, those who are into polyamory will probably express their interest from the off.
For adult content creator Holly Jones, she realised the hotwife life was for her not long after meeting her current husband.

"On our first night we ended up having a foursome with another couple," Holly explained in an interview with the Holly Randall Unfiltered podcast.
"Totally accidental, he didn't set it up," she continued. "It just kind of happened."
The unorthodox first date led to a relationship revelation for Holly, who asked her now-husband if this was something he'd be interested in doing 'all the time' when they woke up the next morning.
"He was in the lifestyle before," she added. "He introduced me to it and ever since our first date we've been pretty much hotwifing."
Why do they do 'hotwife'?
The lifestyle is of course pretty niche compared to how most couples live, so why do Holly and husband enjoying the world of hotwifing?

"I really think it depends on personalities," she said. "We don't really have jealously issues or insecurities.
"He would always say 'I have the hottest woman in the world, why would I not want to share?
"'I have this cool LEGO set, why would I not want to show it to my boys?'
"It's not the degrading aspect, it's like, 'Look what I have.' It's kind of the trophy thing, but it fulfils his fantasies so there's nothing disrespectful about it. It's comfortable to us."
They added their unique relationship dynamic requires 'a lot of communication, a lot of honesty, a lot of trust' adding it involves 'one partner verbally speaking out [their] fantasies and seeing if the other person is OK with it'.

Holly stressed the lifestyle has made their relationship stronger, saying: "The moment you open your mouth and confess a fantasy, you're taking a step forward and that's how our relationship grows."
