A who was dubbed the 'most beautiful girl in the world' as a child hit back at the title years later.
After being scouted at the age of three, Thylane Blondeau was featured in an editorial for French Vogue's supplement Vogue Enfants, with saw her described as the 'most beautiful girl in the world' in 2006.
At just five years old, Thylane's face became plastered everywhere. She walked runway shows for Jean Paul Gaultier, Dolce & Gabbana, and L'Oréal alongside grown-up models. She also controversially featured in a Vogue Paris shoot at the age of 10, which was criticised as sexualising a child.
Despite the controversy, Thylane, who is the daughter of retired French footballer Patrick Blondeau and his TV presenter wife, has continued to work in fashion, and today, the 24-year-old's Instagram features snaps of luxury fashion brands and products from her haircare line.

But how does she feel about being thrust into the public eye and branded the 'most beautiful girl in the world' nowadays?
While Thylane hasn't commented on the title in recent years, she did hit back at the idea of being reduced to her looks in a 2018 interview with The Telegraph.
"When you’re small, you don’t really pay attention," the model recalled.
"People are like, ‘you know, you’re the most beautiful girl in the world,’ and you’re like, ‘I’m not, I’m just playing with my iPad'."
She went on to reveal her reaction to people parroting the phrase at her as she got older, with the then 18-year-old adding: "Even today, people are like, ‘you are the most beautiful girl,’ and I’m like, ‘no, I’m still not, I’m just a human being, a teenager.’"

In recent years, Thylane has shared more of her life on social media, with her Instagram account being followed by over seven million people.
In 2021, she underwent surgery to remove painful ovarian cysts, telling followers that a cyst 'exploded in her stomach'.
"From this experience I’ve learned that when you’re body hurts, don’t let it slide and take care of it, you must see different doctors until some of them find the problem and heal it," she told MailOnline afterwards.
“Any pain, even the little ones, can hide something way more important.”

Back in December 2025, Thylane revealed the devastating news that her stepfather, producer Gérard Kadoche, had passed away after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Paying tribute to Kadoche in a lengthy Instagram statement, she wrote: "My Gégé. If you only knew how much we already miss you… We're so miserable without you.
"You hold such an important place in my heart, in my life. I'm so grateful for everything you taught me, for everything you did for my mom, my little brother, and me. Life without you will never be the same."
