A man who has visited all 197 countries in the world has revealed the three moments that he 'thought he would die'.

With geopolitical tensions perhaps at the highest point in decades, there are plenty of places across the globe that most of us wouldn't even dream of visiting.

The government has plenty of warnings about dangerous places and has a 'black list' where they advice against all travel, but this still isn't enough to stop some adventurers from wanting to visit.

Drew Binsky has had plenty of adventures across his life, having visited every country in the world, and he's previously named the worst place he's every had the displeasure of being in.

Although he's regularly set foot in war-torn countries or areas where disease is rife, the American YouTuber has now revealed the three instances where he felt closest to death during his travels.

Despite the various gangs, animals and conditions he could have been faced with, it was actually an allergic reaction which put Binsky in danger when he visited the Philippines, a country he previously described as one of the nicest in the world.

Binsky said: "I've been to every country in the world and here are three times I really thought I was going to die. Number one is an allergic reaction in a rural island in the Philippines. I went fishing with some local people on the island. |I came out, my whole body had this crazy red rash. My lips and my feet were numb. And thankfully the reaction didn't get in my throat or else I would have had a few minutes left to live.

"And by the way, I still don't know what got me in the ocean."

It was a natural disaster however which left the YouTuber feeling close to death, as he was flying to Nepal in 2015 when it was struck by a 7.8-magnitude earthquake, the worst the SOuth Asian country had seen in over eight decades.

He said: "Number two was surviving that massive earthquake in Nepal in 2015. I was actually in Delhi on the runway to head to Kathmandu. I was on the plane when the earthquake hit and I just feel so bad for all the lives that were lost and the devastation that it caused in Kathmandu and beyond."

His third choice was a surprising one, as it was the romance capital of the world where he felt particularly nervous about his situation, and it wasn't because he was about to propse by the Eiffel Tower like everybody else.

He explained: The number three was in the catacombs in Paris, the underground labyrinth of tunnels that is 200 miles long. It was me and my YouTube friend Sam and Colby and we just had a local guide.

"You're trapped underground with no GPS, nosignal, and really no food. So thankfully we got out safely."
