People all say the same thing as pilot shows how they land a plane

The flight has brought a lot of questions about one key part of the plane's features

A video a pilot landing a plane has had everyone saying the same thing.

There’s nothing quite like getting on a jet and flying off to a different country to check out new culture, foods and people.

But it’s not as easy on the pilot as you might think.

Many videos have come out to show just what’s going on in the cock pit.

For example, videos surfaced showing exactly what the pilot sees when breaking from the clouds, during turbulence, and at night.

I’m not going to lie; I couldn’t do that job and I’m glad I don’t have to.

But now a different video has been posted online, it shows just how hard work pilots have at tackling a landing.

The clip, posted to X, shows a female pilot in the cock pit as she’s quickly gaining on the runway.

With so many things she has to move and position to get it right, it’s left everyone feeling a little frightened, particularly about one thing she’s operating.

The yoke.

If you don’t know what a yoke is, it’s a control wheel that sort of looks like a giant upside-down uterus- tubes and all.

One person on X said: “Every time I see these videos I can’t believe how much input they have to give the yoke. I assume this how it’s done flying by wire? If I did this in a 172 I’m pretty sure I’d be weightless or dead.”

Another critiqued: “im not sure the yoke really needed this much yanking..”

Someone else wrote: “She’s really playing with that joystick.”

A user joked: “Why TF that steering wheel so damn loose? F*** no, I would crash cause I need some resistance to know I’m actually doing something.”

However, most understood the need to do this, as landing the plane is very complex.

One person lamented: “She was very focused. Perhaps the landing was the most complicated and important part.”

Another wrote: “Like a boss! Although her hands look drunk, pay her no never mind.”

Someone else said: “Smooth as butter.”

The pilot uses the yoke to control the attitude of the plane, and rotating the wheel controls the ailerons and the roll axis.

Every movement of the yoke has a function, for example, the fore and aft movement of the control column controls the elevator and the pitch axis, and when the yoke is pulled back, the nose of the aircraft rises.

I’m going to be honest, I don’t know what any of those terms mean- and I don’t expect you to either.

Basically, when the yoke is pushed forward, the nose lowers, and when the yoke turns left or right, the plane rolls in its aligning directions.

Then, there are buttons on the left and right controls, which can flip on or off autopilot if the pilot needs to take manual control of the plane.

For take-off or landing, for instance.

In the clip, you can see the pilot moving it constantly- forward, backward, to either side, forward again and so on.

All in all, you can see why so much training is needed to do that job.
