Man who quit vaping revealed one major benefit he experienced after going cold turkey

A man on YouTube has opened up about what it was like to quit vaping cold turkey and the one major difference he's noticed a few months on.

Vaping was initially created as a way for people to stop smoking for good, with the NHS suggesting it reduces your exposure to diseases and cancers compared to a traditional cigarette.

However, in recent years it has seemingly become the new norm for people young and old to smoke the disposable vapes in their many flavours and colours, as there's almost certainly nothing cooler than a lad puffing his bubblegum flavoured smoke when walking down the street.

The labour government confirmed late last year that by June we will see a complete ban on the sale and supply of single-use vapes in England, but refillable products will still be permitted.

A recent study from university students found that those who vape regularly are at risk of three potentially deadly side-effects, including cardiovascular problems, so it's hard to see the benefit of the product unless it's used sparingly to help someone quit tobacco.

Young people in particular have picked up the concerning trend and the excessive use of vapes has left some people with just one working lung, so it might be time to finally ditch the habit for good.

Just in case you needed any more reasons to put down the vapes, YouTube user @nick95productions has revealed the one major benefit he's noticed after quitting cold turkey a few months back.

In his video, he explained: "So, I haven't vaped in three or four months.

"Sometimes I really want to but honestly, something crossed my mind this morning when I woke up and it was the fact that I don't have phlegm choking me in the morning anymore now that I've quit vaping.

"That's something I definitely don't miss. Once I quit I completely forgot that it was even a thing that used to happen to me. So that's one of the benefits and obviously that I can breathe better."

This certainly fits in with medical advice on vaping, which suggests you can see benefits after as little as 20 minutes without one.

According to Med Alert Help's Nikola Djordjevic MD, if you're able to go one month without touching a vape, the nicotine will be flushed from your system and your lung capacity will improve, which certainly fits in with Nick's description.

So, if you want to keep your lungs in tip top shape and get back to those sweet phlegm-free mornings, maybe bear this advice in mind.
