Throwback To Ant And Dec's Punch Up In Their 'Biggest Fall Out'

Throwback To Ant And Dec's Punch Up In Their 'Biggest Fall Out'

They weren't always the best buds we know now.

This week we posted an article about two lads and their bromance tradition of chugging a beer every day without fail. It's an impressive streak.

Now we're looking at one of the UK's favourite bromances - Ant and Dec! The country is once again tuning in to I'm A Celeb to watch the dynamic Geordie duo make a group of celebrities miserable, and maybe catch the latest X-list power couple be born, who knows?

The ITV show also gives the good folks of Twitter another opportunity to rant about how much they hate any type of reality TV (we know you watch, don't be embarrassed).

The lads' friendship has been a key part of their appeal since they debuted together in Byker Grove all the way back in 1990, and wow does that make me feel old.

From the early days as young lads in the North East of England with dodgy looking hair, to a touring comedy music act, and a hugely successful career on shows such as SMTV Live, I'm a Celeb, Britain's Got Talent and their own prime time show Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, their longevity has been mainly down to an unbreakbale friendship.

Given their history, we were shocked to hear about a time when the two nearly came to blows on a boozy night out, back in the day.

Newcastle is known for its nightlife. The streets surrounding St James' Park are regularly filled with stumbling stags dressed as Hulk Hogan and hysterical hens waving around inflatable penises. So it's no surprise that the Tyneside natives were fans of a night out back in their PJ and Duncan touring days.

We've all been there when you hit the town with the boys. The Jäger's flowing and everyone's gannin radge with their best dance moves when suddenly the lights go up and it's time to head home. You reassemble the lads and head to the local chippy for a kebab.

Once you get home everyone is ready to crash except that one divvy who's still wankered and thinks he's Scooter (we all remember Scooter). You try to calm him down but you're both pissed so no-one is making any sense. He's kicking off and pushing everyone. You're shocked, drunk and now a bit fucked off.

A pretty poor attempt at a swing catches him on the chin and he falls over a chair. Too drunk to get up, he decides here's where he's sleeping for the night.

That's pretty much what happened with Ant and Dec, after a boozed up night the day before a concert in Spain. A drunken spat ended with a push and swing for the head.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the two describe it as: "Our one and only big fight".

Even the best of mates fight sometimes. Just a few less shots of tequila in future lads.
