Guy Decides To Drink 10 Cokes A Day To See The Results

He did it for 30 days.

You know when you wake up after a night on the tear and feel like drowning your liver in Coke? Well, this guy did that. Everyday. Just minus the booze.

Los Angeles lad George Prior conducted an experiment that would make him throw back 10 Cokes a day, every day, for a total of 30 days.

Prior - geddit! - to the experiment, Prior would knock back your usuals: meat and veg, some milk. Arguably a few tinnies and cigs.

And then one day, the 50-year-old decided enough was enough, that he wanted to feel absolutely terrible for a whole 30 days.

"I am going to do a little experiment over the next 30 days where I make one small change to my diet and see how it affects my health," Prior said.

"I have just got back from the doctors where I had a complete physical, I am 50 years old, I am in good health.

"I will also as I go along keep records of how my weight changes, I have a blood pressure monitor so I can check my blood pressure as we go and I have a blood glucose monitor so I will be able to see how my blood sugar levels are affected by the change in my diet.

"What is the one little change? I am going to start drinking 10 cokes a day.

"That is only 1,400 more calories, but we are going to see how the increased sugar and increased insulin load affects my health."

On the ninth day of Cokemageddon, Prior was EIGHT pounds heavier.

He said: "I don't feel good, I am tired of drinking coke.

"It's the feeling full all the time and not being hungry for other foods."

On the 15th day, Prior's body fat came in at 14 percent, an increase of five percet.

On the 21st day, he couldn't even do up his jeans, as well as experiencing day-long headaches. "I am definitely feeling heavier, I don't feel good," he remarked.

When it was all said and done, Prior put on 23 pounds and stretched his body fat by 65 percent.

"I'm urging people to examine the amount of sugar in their diets," he pleaded. "People need to be aware of the real and powerful damaging effects of sugar on their health.

"Kids shouldn't drink Cokes. But then kids shouldn't drink juices, either, and that's going to be a very hard sell to parents who believe that juice is 'natural' or even 'organic'.

"It's sugar, and not only do kids not need it, it's bad for them."

Yeah, Coke might not be that good for you, but who deprives their kid of it now and then? Take away Coke from kids, and they'll go straight for the booze.
