Conor McGregor has had quite the MMA career up to now, he's twice been a two weight world champion and has broken box office records, but he's always finding new ways to surprise us.
A small detail did just that last night at the official start to the build up of Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather. It was never going to be a dull affair, was it? The pair of them couldn't go into a library without making noise.
It started with some punditry, then we had Aloe Blacc singing and then the moment we'd all been waiting for, the first stare down between the two.

The most important UFC fighter of his generation and the most important boxer of his, face-to-face - it was finally happening. Predictably, The Notorious was unable to keep his mouth shut; why would he?
The verbal sparring continued when they got to the mic with McGregor making a humorous quip about the suit he was wearing:

The Irishman had commented earlier that his opponent hadn't even bothered wearing a suit before mentioning how good he looks and saying it's his new line of clothing.
It sounded like nothing more than the usual soundbite but it seems that the pinstripes on the suit do indeed read "fuck you", which is, whichever way you spin it, simply amazing.
That's a seriously smart suit and potentially the most expensive joke that's ever been told at a sporting press conference, well played.

All of that happened on night one of the pairs 'world' tour to promote the fight.
Firstly, I'm not convinced it's a world tour when you're only heading to three countries, two of which are America and Canada.
Secondly, I'm not sure you needed a world tour to promote a fight between two guys who could make themselves heard in space.

Toronto tomorrow, New York on Thursday and London on Friday. Lord knows what item of clothing McGregor will make a joke on next but we can't wait to find out.
