If you're scared of spiders, look away now. No, really. This video has gone viral after showing a spider crawling out of a woman's ear having made itself at home while she took a nap.
The woman, known only as Lekshmi L, fell asleep on her veranda and woke up with a headache, a tingling sensation in her right ear and discomfort.

She asked her daughter to have a look and see if there was anything stuck in her ear, and even had a little dig in there herself with her finger but couldn't see anything.
The pain soon became unbearable, and Lekshmi's husband rushed her to the hospital to try and get to the bottom of the issue.
They arrived at the Columbia Asia Hospital in Hebbal, India, where doctors immediately took action to find out what the problem was. It was then that they found the spider living inside Lekshmi's ear.
As you can see from the video above, doctors focused a light in her ear to coax the spider out.
Lekshmi said: "I was terrified as I could feel movement of a creature in my ear. The acute earache followed by sharp pains suffocated me. I couldn't think of anything and was petrified when the doctor confirmed presence of a spider in my ear."

Dr. Santosh Shivaswamy, Consultant ENT at Columbia Hospital, told the Mail: "It is common to see emergency room visits due to the presence a foreign object in the ear and it takes a simple procedure to remove the object.
"However, when a living insect makes its way inside a human ear, the patient's anxiety makes it difficult to continue the procedure. It was a rare to see a live spider moving inside someone's ear canal."

The spider, which is weirdly kind of adorable, wanders out of her ear like a pissed bloke who has spent the night on his mate's couch after a particularly messy session. On yer way, mate. Bet your missus is worried sick.

But, yeah, poor Lekshmi. Lesson learnt: don't fall asleep on verandas.
