Amazon Prime Day is just around the corner and is coming to the website on Tuesday, July 12th and Wednesday, July 13th. Even though that is the official date for Amazon Prime Day, expect a fair number of deals to pop up in the weeks between.

What is Amazon Prime Day?

Prime Day is Amazon's biggest sale of the year. Usually held during the summer months, the annual two-day deals event is for Prime members only.

And while there are non-Prime offers on the site throughout the sale, all the best discounts are exclusive Prime Day deals.

What Deals Will There Be On Amazon Prime Day?

Amazon has recently revealed the first wave of this year’s prime deals, and eager customers will be happy to know some of them have started already!

As expected, the best deals are on Amazon products. It has been confirmed that savings of up to 60% will be available on the Echo Dot, Echo Show 5, Fire TV Cube and Fire 7 Tablet.

The Echo Dot was one of the most popular deals on last year’s event, with the device going from £49.99 to £24.99, and it is likely there will be a similar discount on the product this year, if not a bigger one.

In addition, over on Prime Video, you can save up to 60% off top movies and TV shows, or rent a selection of new and classic films from just £1.99.

It won’t just be Amazon products that will have price cuts of course. In an press release, the company confirmed that big brands like Phillips, Bosch, Samsung, Shark and Sony will also play a part in the sale.

Outside the large name brands, Amazon continues to make efforts to boost its marketplace sellers in this year's sale after the previous Prime Day was the biggest two-day period ever for Amazon’s third-party sellers, according to the retailer.

The company traditionally looks to make Prime Day even bigger every year, so customers can undoubtedly expect some huge deals on an endless variety of products over the two days.
