Nicole Scherzinger was the victim of a cruel Instagram hack, claiming that a sex tape featuring the singer was about to be leaked.
A heavily doctored image of the Pussycat Dolls singer and talent show judge appeared on her Instagram account and stories, claiming to have her sex tape and urging people to follow a link and download a video before being able to see a full version
A post to the singer's 3.9million followers showed her wearing an unbuttoned white shirt, with the caption: "Go to my Story > Swipe UP > DOWNLOAD a FREE App > releasing my full SEX Tape at 5,000 Downloads!"

Scherzinger was understood to be asleep while the hack happened however - the pictures and link stayed on her account for around half an hour before being removed shortly before 7am local time.
The singer had been at an Emmys event in Los Angeles the previous evening.

Scherzinger - who is yet to make an official statement on the hack - is currently on the US version of The Masked Singer and Australia's Got Talent.
Her actual Instagram account featured pictures of her Emmys red carpet appearance and a behind the scenes snap of her taking part in Carpool Karaoke alongside singer Robin Thicke and actor Ken Jeong.
Earlier this year, an intimate video of Scherzinger in bed with her former boyfriend Lewis Hamilton was leaked online, which she described as 'horrible' and 'unbelievably mean'.
