Sorry to fans of Barista Bros Iced Coffee but Coca-Cola has discontinued the well-beloved coffee brand.

The bottled coffee drinks will no longer be available to purchase from supermarkets and vending machines across the country.

In a statement to 7NEWS, Coca-Cola Australia confirmed production on Barista Bros drinks has ceased.

“After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue Barista Bros in Australia,” read the statement.

“The decision will allow us to continue to focus on our core portfolio of products and provide even more of what consumers enjoy.”

“While there won’t be a direct replacement for Barista Bros at this time, Coca-Cola Australia offers a range of soft drinks, waters, sports drinks, juice, mixers and teas,” the soft drink company added.

The announcement comes after Barista Bros products with expiry dates between 30 September to 30 December 2023 were recalled earlier in May.

“We have been able to withhold most of the stock in question from sale however know that there are some products in the market,” Coca-Cola said in a statement on their website.

“This is because we have identified a potential packaging failure with these Barista Bros bottles which may prevent them from sealing properly, which could cause your drink to spoil and become unfit for consumption.”

The move to discontinue Barista Bros has been met with mixed reviews across the internet.

“Noooo,” one user commented on Facebook: “I loved the iced chocolate and double espresso! It’s my go-to.”

“So sad, their ice chocolate was heavenly,” said another.

While others were not as phased by the brand’s discontinuation.

“They are the absolute worst,” said one Twitter user.

“Surprised they lasted this long but I suppose (Coca-Cola) has deep pockets and gave it a good chance”.

Coca-Cola launched the coffee drink brand back in 2014.

“Just over 1.1 million enjoy an ‘iced’ variety of coffee in the average week, which is why we launched dairy brand Barista Bros,” reads their website.

“We’re on the forefront when it comes to developing new ways to perfectly brew and consume it.”

While Barista Bros is listed as a company on the Coca-cola website, the Barista Bros product information page has been taken down.
