Bottles of one of Australia's favourite iced coffee brands have been pulled from shelves across the nation amid fears of plastic contamination.

Bega Dairy and Drinks has recalled Dare Iced Coffee drinks from hundreds of stores, with four different flavours of the popular drink affected.

The drinks have been recalled amid fears that the milky drink may contain 'foreign matter', aka plastic pieces, that may cause injury or illness if consumed.

If you have purchased a Dare Iced Coffee with the following use by dates, chuck it out immediately.

If you have one of these drinks, you can contact Bega Dairy and Drinks to request a full refund.

It is understood that the batch that Bega Dairy fears was contaminated was sold in Victorian shops and retail outlets.

The popular milk drink is sold at independent grocery stores including IGA, convenience stores including Coles Express, and smaller independent outlets (i.e., milk bars, cafes, and bakeries), and supermarkets.
