A number of Brits have had their names appear in the bunch of documents made available as part of the Epstein files.
There is still more to come after the US House of Representatives voted almost unanimously to release the documents pertaining to the now deceased sex offender and his connections.
Donald Trump has also made a U-turn on the matter as he has now come out to give the release of the Epstein files his backing, claiming he has 'nothing to hide'.
Epstein, who died in 2019, had been convicted of procuring a child for prostitution and of soliciting a prostitute, while at the time of his death, he had been jailed on charges of sex trafficking minors in Florida and New York.
Advert
The convicted sex offender was a socialite who ingratiated himself with many people in an attempt to win their influence and favour, and in doing so, boost his own profile.
As such, the investigations into his affairs and connections have resulted in very many names ending up on documents which are part of the thousands of files, emails and messages.

Having one's name mentioned in the Epstein files is not the same as being on his alleged list of clients, nor does it mean the person had a friendship with Epstein, ever met the man, or had any knowledge of his crimes.
All it means is that in some of the 23,000 documents which form the currently released portion of the Epstein files, their names appear.
The Mirror has gone through the documents and identified a number of famous Brits whose names appear in the documents, along with how many times they are mentioned.
Given that more files are still to be released, it is unlikely that this is an exhaustive list, but once again, being mentioned in an email or having one's name written down on a piece of paper does not indicate anything other than someone once wrote down that name.
To underline that point, William Shakespeare is named nine times in the files, but since he died centuries ago, it would be impossible for him to have anything to do with the current matter.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor
Members of the royal family are among the more mentioned figures in the documents.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is mentioned 173 times, with his former friendship with Epstein well known.
Andrew, who was recently stripped of his royal titles, has always denied having sex with Virginia Giuffre, a girl who was trafficked by Epstein when she was 17.

Sarah Ferguson
Also named in the files is Andrew's ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, who is mentioned nine times.

Princess Diana
The late Princess Diana's name appeared 14 times.

Queen Camilla
Queen Camilla is also mentioned nine times.
Beyond the royals, there are major figures in British politics mentioned as well, including three former prime ministers.

Tony Blair
Tony Blair, the UK's prime minister between 1997 and 2007, is mentioned 22 times.

Gordon Brown
Blair's successor Gordon Brown's name appeared 16 times

David Cameron
David Cameron was named 19 times.

Nigel Farage
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage is mentioned 18 times, as Epstein and former Trump advisor Steve Bannon discussed him in emails.

Peter Mandelson
Former political advisor Peter Mandelson is named 10 times.

Ghislaine Maxwell
Epstein's partner Ghislaine Maxwell is mentioned 135 times in the files.

Robert Maxwell
Her late father Robert, who died in 1991, has his name appear 47 times.
There are also several Brits from the world of science, the arts and sport whose names crop up in the files, many times due to being mentioned in articles Epstein shared in his communications, so people's names can be in the files without ever having interacted with Epstein.

Stephen Hawking
Famous scientist Stephen Hawking's name appears 17 times.

Richard Dawkins
The God Delusion author Richard Dawkins is mentioned 29 times.

David Beckham
Football star Sir David Beckham is mentioned nine times, with the Mirror reporting that one of these mentions was part of a conversation between Epstein and Boris Nikolic about philanthropy in 2014, where Nikolic sent Epstein an article about admired athletes.
Being mentioned in the files does not suggest he knew or communicated with Epstein.

Elton John
Sir Elton John gets eight mentions, which does not mean he knew met Epstein, as he also appears in articles Epstein either sent people or received in his communications.

Mick Jagger
Meanwhile, Rolling Stones star Sir Mick Jagger is mentioned nine times, as in 2011, Epstein told Nikolic he would find out whether a number of famous performers were 'in town' and Jagger's name was among them. There is no indication that he knew Epstein.

Colin Firth
The actor Colin Firth is mentioned 10 times in the released files. While Colin Firth is mentioned in press articles emailed to Epstein by Peggy Seigal, there is nothing to suggest he ever met or communicated with Epstein.

Naomi Campbell
Naomi Campbell is also mentioned 10 times.

Piers Morgan
Piers Morgan's name appears nine times.

Adele
Singer Adele is named eight times, with her name appearing in emails sent between Epstein and a publicist.
