KFC Twitter Account Goes Rogue And Absolutely Rips People's Homemade Fried Chicken

With many countries currently in lockdown, a fair few of us are having to get a little more creative with our daily lives, which means we've seen an influx in DIY haircuts, endless video calls and makeshift pubs and clubs.
Sadly, that also means we've been torn away from some of our beloved fast food joints, prompting people to try and recreate the joy at home and share the results online.
But while many chains might take the opportunity to encourage its loyal customers, KFC has gone slightly rogue - and we am absolutely here for it.
Nope, while others might be praising people for their 'fakeaway' attempts, KFC has decided to go all Gordon Ramsay on us, giving each dish a score out of 10 and everything.
This is the saddest thing I've seen and I've watched the Futurama episode were the dog waits outside for Fry. 3/10. #RateMyKFC https://t.co/RGmSRgXliK

The chicken on the bone looks like you've played with a jacket potato like it's a Stretch Armstrong and that gravy is a suspicious colour.

Interacting with Twitter users through the #RateMyKFC hashtag, KFC is offering up solid - if not slightly harsh - feedback, responding to one person by saying: "It's a fair first try, but it looks like instead of breading the chicken you've tried to colour it in with a brown Sharpie that lost it's lid in 1998."
So as not to see too harsh, the tweet added: "Jalapeños on the chips is inspired. 5/10."
This is an absolute monstrosity. I feel ill looking at it, but by God I want it. 7.5/10. #RateMyKFC https://t.co/YqycnYzr1H

But not everyone's attempts have been completely hopeless, with a #RateMyKFC leaderboard showing off some of the best creations out there.

If you fancy having a stab at some homemade KFC yourself, you could try this recipe from a man called Dan Fell, who has spent nearly a year and a half working on different variations before nailing it.
Now, however, he believes he's managed to crack it, and has even shared the recipe online so that you can follow suit.
TIPS:
wash = egg white & milk
Seasoning: 3 part mix to 1 part self raising
Chicken = room temp for cooking & light salt seasoning
Coating Order: flour, wash, flour
Oil: 162.5. C for 5-6 minutes
Warming oven: 80C whilst you batch cook
Final Fry for 90s before serving

Just remember, if you do decide to share the fruits of your labour online, KFC won't be holding back when it comes to feedback...
