Wendy's has shared its full menu ahead of its UK reopening this year.

The US restaurant chain is set to open its first diner in Reading, it's first in the UK for 21 years, with a second planned for Oxford further down the line.

The Reading Wendy's will take over the former Nationwide bank on the corner of Friar Street and Station Road, and is set to open on 2nd June, according to Berkshire Live.

But what tasty dishes can customers expect to enjoy when they get there?

Well, a whole host of classic will be on offer including Dave's Single, the Baconator and the Spicy Chicken Sandwich.

Customers can then wash it all down with a Frosty shake, which comes in chocolate and vanilla.

For those diners who prefer animal-free dishes, they will be able to choose from a number of items, such as the Veggie Stack, Veggie Bites and the Avocado Veggie Salad.

Similar to the meaty burgers, the Veggie stack, which is made from grains, veggies and spices, will be served square.

If none of the above tickles your fancy, though, Wendy's will also have Baked Potatoes, Baconator fries and Wendy's iconic Chili con Carne to the ready.

And if you fancy something a little lighter, the Chicken Caesar and Apple Cranberry are also options.

Just like other chains, Wendy's will also serve a breakfast menu for those of us heading to the office for the dreaded early shift.

This will run until 10:30am and includes items like Croissant Sandwiches, the Breakfast Baconator, and a variety of hot bevs, such as Cappuccinos and Lattes.

Following the launch of sites in Reading, Stratford and Oxford, Wendy's plans to open more restaurants in "priority areas" across the UK.

This means the chain is likely to be popping up in major cities, such as Birmingham, Manchester and London.

Abigail Pringle, President, International and Chief Development Officer for The Wendy's Company said in a statement: "The United Kingdom is an exciting frontier for Wendy's, serving as the foothold to drive growth across this region.

"Our vision is to become the world's most thriving and beloved restaurant brand, and we're well on our way."

Speaking about the menu, Pringle said: "We have conducted research with thousands of consumers in the UK to really understand what they think about Wendy's and what is driving strong appeal for the brand.

"We used these insights to inform and validate our core menu offerings for this market, including our made-to-order square hamburgers."
