Nine-year-old goes viral as she passes out multiple times during slingshot ride

Rollercoasters affect different people in different ways. And one young girl just couldn't handle it. Have a look:

Molly Barrett was out with her dad AJ at a theme park during a family holiday to the Gold Coast, Australia, and decided to hop on the slingshot ride.

Sadly for the nine-year-old, though, it didn't end well at all, with her actually passing out.

In footage taken from the ride, Molly and AJ, 50, can be seen nervously strapping themselves into their seats.

The dad is then heard saying: "Be careful what you wish for...the only way is up...we are never doing anything like this ever, ever again."

And once the ride gets going, the fear really sets in for the young girl, with her screaming as they are catapulted into the air.

She then falls unconscious for a few seconds, before coming back round and continuing to scream.

But it's not over yet. Molly suddenly passes out for a second time, during the next descent, while AJ appears to be having a whale of a time.

Coming back around once again, she screams: "Oh my God!"

Speaking about the trip, AJ said it was his daughter's idea to go on the ride in the first place.

He said: "We were shot into the night sky at approximately 6G's and we're not able to see much, and trying to keep the horizon in your view is very difficult. 

"There were instant screams from Molly and then; blackout, awake, scream, blackout.

"It was Molly's idea to go on the ride. She saw it from our previous trip. 

"She could see it from our hotel window and it was the first thing she mentioned when we arrived was, 'Where is the slingshot!!??' as it had moved."

While he's not a massive fan of rides himself, AJ didn't really have an option.

With no one else around to go on with Molly, the dad had to do what he had to do.

"I took one for the team, as she was so hellbent on going on it," he said.

"Molly took a shine to all the rides on the Gold Coast Seaworld and Warner Bros and Movie World. 

"She went on any ride that allowed her with her height, most time roping her mum and sisters into going with her, and me, of course.

"This was her idea. As soon as she knew she met the height restrictions, she would not let up."

AJ said the whole family cracked up after watching the video back at home.

"When we got off the ride we were able to watch the video," he recalled. "We all absolutely laughed our heads off. 

"As soon as we got home we uploaded it to the computer. Funniest thing we'd ever see."

And they weren't the only ones. Since it was posted to TikTok, the video has been watched millions of times, with people loving it.

AJ added: "Never thought it could have that type of reach reading the comments has also been a joy. Molly loves them."
