Early Weather Forecast For Glastonbury Festival

Glastonbury Festival is finally returning after a two-year break, but will the weather hold out or will it be welly boots and anoraks?

Glastonbury Festival is back! After a two year lay-off, due to the Covid pandemic, the mega event will take place from 22nd June to the 26th June.

It is set to be a comeback like no other with jaw dropping headliners to match. Billie Eilish will be performing on the Friday alongside the likes of AJ Tracey and Kendrick Lamar on the following Saturday and Sunday.

There is considerable pressure placed on Glastonbury to impress given its forlorn absence and the recent criticism that surfaced after actor Lenny Henry commented that he was always surprised by the lack of diversity on stage at Glastonbury in an interview with the BBC.

However, what is on everyone's minds ahead of the festival is the weather! Weather is the keystone of the British populace and with good reason too.

Glastonbury has had its fair share of torrential downpours, but the rain has rarely been a problem for festival goers.

Historically, the festival gets very muddy indeed - the floods of 2005 completely flooded campsites and managed to wash away many tents at Worthy Farm.

But let’s not put a damper on the mood.

What Will The Weather Be Like At Glastonbury Festival 2022?

The forecast for this weekend looks promising. Whilst it is not the kind of heatwave experienced last weekend, it will be quite pleasant.

Temperatures will reach highs of 22 degrees on Monday with the sunshine gradually reducing to 18 degrees on Thursday. On Friday the weather will be overcast with a chance of rain later on in the day. The weather is set to clear for the weekend with highs of up to 17 degrees.

With the weather mostly on its side, Glastonbury is set for a fantastic week ahead. Brilliant headliners, hardy festival goers and decent sunshine will ensure a fun-filled week of hedonism to look forward to.
