Glastonbury organiser confirms festival has booked headliners and responds to rumours
If you feel like something is missing this summer, that's because there's been no Glastonbury but don't worry, it'll soon be back.
In fact, the United Kingdom's most iconic music festival Glastonbury has got all its headliners booked for its highly anticipated return in June 2027, says organiser Emily Eavis.
She confirmed that three acts to main event on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights of the blockbuster event have been lined up, but completely dismissed speculation that Madonna would be among them.
"No, it's definitely not Madonna, I'll tell you that," Eavis told BBC Radio 4's PM programme.

Remarkably, despite being one of the biggest selling artists of all time with a back catalogue brimming with bangers, Madonna has never played Glastonbury in her near five-decade-long career.
Rumours grew about the 67-year-old possibly gracing the Pyramid Stage for the first time in June when she hinted to Graham North that she had big plans in the UK next year.
While we may not getting into the groove at Glasto, Eavis is buzzing with who she's got lined up to play instead, adding: "But we have got three [other] headliners and we're very excited about it - it's all coming together really well."
She remained coy about who those headliners are, laughing and asking to speak about something else when the suggestion of Taylor Swift, who is yet to play the festival either, was brought up.
Who are the favourites to headline Glastonbury in 2027?
2026 is a fallow year for Glastonbury to allow the soil and grass at Worthy Farm time to recover, not to mention giving the cows their fields back.
The break tends to happen about every five years.
Demand for tickets will no doubt be more fierce than ever when the festival does return between June 23 and June 27 next summer.
Despite Eavis' denial, Madonna is still the joint top favourite to headline the festival along with Harry Styles, who's fresh off his record-breaking string of shows at Wembley Stadium earlier in the summer.
Following them in the pack is Geordie rocker Sam Fender, his Rein Me In duet partner Olivia Dean, Swift and Oasis, who are set to have their own set of massive summer gigs in 2027 after performing again for the first time in 16 years in 2025.
After the Oasis reunion was announced in 2024, the band made it clear they wouldn't be playing the festival while they were touring.
"Despite media speculation, Oasis will not be playing Glastonbury 2025 or any other festivals next year," they said in a statement. "The only way to see the band perform will be on their Oasis Live '25 World Tour."
Outside bets for 2027 include The Prodigy and ABBA at 200/1, Spice Girls at 150/1 and Fleetwood Mac at 100/1.
Speaking on the speculation she has seen about the line-up, Eavis said: "Pretty much 95% of the stories [about Glastonbury] you read are not true, and rumours are pretty much always wrong.
"But the good news is that we've got our headliners and we're cracking on, and we just can't wait to get back."
Glastonbury 2025 was headlined by The 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo.
