Doctor issues 'dangerously effective' warning for ‘colonic sweep’ hack that might make you poop straight away

Dr Jennale has warned that the constipation hack might make you 'poop right away'

A medical expert has shared a unique constipation hack which requires no medication whatsoever.

Dr Jennale, a primary care doctor with 275,000 followers on TikTok (@dr.jennale), has revealed how to do the ‘colonic sweep’, which can help you 'poop right away' when you're constipated.

The NHS says constipation is when you're 'not pooing as often or finding it hard to poo', noting that it can affect 'people of all ages'.

You're likely to have it if you've not pooed at least three times in the last week or pooing a lot less than you normally would.

More often than not, it's caused by not eating enough fibre, drinking enough water, or a change in your diet or daily routine.

If it doesn't get better, a pharmacist will most likely suggest a suitable laxative, which is supposed to help you poo.

However, Dr Jennale insists that a ‘colonic sweep’ is all you need.

What is the ‘colonic sweep’ hack for constipation?

"Be careful where you use this because you might poop right away or within 30 minutes," the expert said in a recent video.

The method involves pressing and pushing down on your lower stomach area to mimic the typical movement of poo through the colon. It's essentially guiding your stool to follow the path of your colon.

First, you need to press your lower left abdomen and push down towards the pelvic area.

Once you've done that, head to the area below your ribs (transverse colon area) and repeat the process.

"So we call this the colonic sweep, so what you want to do is you want to try to move the stool out this way, okay?" she explains.

"But you want to open up the outlet first. So you're going to go here, you're going to pull up towards your belly button and then push down towards the pelvis.

"And then you're going to move to the side, pull in towards the belly button and then slowly push down towards the pelvis."

Well, people in the comments said it actually helped them poo, as one person wrote: "I did try it and it’s Amazing and FAST!! Already gone twice in the last hour."

“This did, in fact, work within 30 min,” a second wrote.

Meanwhile, others wondered 'why would we push left to right? Wouldn’t that just move the stool backwards?'.

Someone then explained: "You have to go clockwise. And when you go diagonally you are going from bottom left diagonally to the right to your belly button then left and down aka clockwise."
