A man who has tried 182 different drugs has explained why there is one that he would never touch.
In England and Wales, 5,448 deaths related to drug poisoning were registered in 2023, and almost one in five adults aged 16 to 24 years had taken a drug in the last year as of March 2023.
While this represented a decrease compared with the year ending March 2020, drugs are still a prevalent issue.
Dominic Milton Trott has sampled all kinds of substances, including weed, ecstasy, mushrooms and LSD. And he's recorded his experience with each drug in his book, The Drug Users Bible.

The idea of the book was simple; Trott believes that if you can't stop people from taking drugs, then you ought to at least give people information that makes them less likely to cause harm.

“Education saves lives,” the 64-year-old told UNILAD.
“I felt that the government should have really written something like this. They should provide this information; it should be taught somehow through the system to people who are going to take drugs or might take drugs. And it isn’t.
“And, you know… I thought, 'I really have got to do this. And I've got to do this, because nobody else is doing it.'”

After sampling so many, you might think that Trott has tried and tested each drug out there, but there's actually one that he won't touch.
Which drug does Trott avoid and why?
While on the Happy Hour Podcast, Trott talked about 'the only one I haven't tried', explaining that it was the dangerous drug fentanyl.
"When it first came out everyone was terrified of it and rightly so," Dominic told the podcast hosts.

"How can I reflect that? What I don't say is 'don't do drugs', because I tell them the truth. If they want to do it, do it, but I can recommend, make it obvious that this is, you know, too f**king dangerous."
Trott explained that he saw a DEA presentation which included pictures of a fatal dose of heroin, carfentanil and fentanyl, showing that it takes minuscule amounts of fentanyl to kill a person.
Trott said that 'no matter what, you are never gonna be able to measure this tiny amount of this stuff accurately', and said that was why he would never try it.

What is fentanyl?
The DEA explain that fentanyl is a synthetic opioid drug that is approximately 100 times more potent than morphine and 50 times more potent than heroin.

It is often sniffed, smoked, or taken orally, and produces effects including relaxation, euphoria, pain relief, sedation, confusion, drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, and vomiting and respiratory depression.
Overdosing on the drug can have serious consequences, including a coma and respiratory failure, which can lead to death.
