Tommy Fury has explained why he avoids eating what his partner Molly-Mae Hague chefs up, as he gave a unique insight into their weekly shop.
The 27-year-old boxer met his partner, also 27, on Love Island back in 2019 and have since gone on to have two kids together: three-year-old daughter Bambi and son Midas, who was born earlier this year.
However, despite the couple living together in Greater Manchester, it seems that when it comes to their diets they like to keep things separate.
On a recent episode of What the Fury? ,Tommy was asked by his dad ‘Big’ John Fury: “Do you not eat Molly’s food when she cooks?”
Advert
To which he replied: “Definitely not. Molly lives off toasties and crisps and sweets.
“I don’t live like that.”

Tommy went on to say that while Molly does cook, particularly a Sunday roast or ‘a nice bit of pasta’, due to his job as a boxer he can’t indulge.
“She doesn’t need to really be bothered about her food. Whereas, if I was living off junk food I wouldn’t be able to come in here and train,” he added.
Tommy also revealed the eye-watering price they spend on their weekly food shop.
“I’d say it would be anywhere from £250 to £350,” he said, before clarifying that was per week.
For some context, the average UK household spends £119 per week on their food shopping, according to data from confused.com.

However, as you might expect this rises when there are more mouths to feed, with families with one child paying an average of £138 a week and families with two kids, like Molly-Mae and Tommy, typically spending £161.
Perhaps even more unusual, Tommy revealed that when it comes to grocery shopping they do their own thing.
“The way it works is, Molly does an online shop that comes but the way Molly eats and the way I eat are two different things,” he pointed out.
“So, Molly kind of looks out for her and the baby. But me, I do my own shop. I only eat the food that I buy.”
A clip of the interaction was shared online where it’s sparked some debate, as one fan asked: “How on earth do you spend that much a week on food for 2 adults and a toddler even if you’re buying quality steaks?”
A second suggested: “Tommy you need to cook for Molly.”
However, others thought the setup was no one else’s concern as long as it worked for them.

“He’s an athlete and knows what he’s got to prepare for the week so he gets what he needs. It works for them,” one social media user said.
Bizarrely, although Tommy doesn’t tuck into Molly’s scrans he did recently reveal that he had tried her breast milk and claimed it helped his arms grow in size and boosted his power.
Explaining to his dad how it all came about, he revealed: “So, I remember when Molly had just given birth to Bambi, I did have a little taste.”
John didn’t seem impressed but Tommy insisted: “Listen that breast milk is good for you, my arms doubled in size.”
However, the experts side with John on this one, and say that adults shouldn’t be drinking breast milk.
Data from Queen Mary University of London found that 'no scientific study has evidenced that direct adult consumption of human milk for medicinal properties offers anything more than a placebo effect'.
