There's a new cosmetic trend among Gen Zers and it's all to do with their downstairs region.

Penis filler is the treatment which is making waves thanks to the likes of social media and body image affecting the youth of today.

According to data from Harley Street Skin Clinic, a London-based aesthetic and medical clinic which carries out procedures for those looking to make dermatological or surgical changes, there has been a 60 percent increase in the number of 18 to 24-year-olds looking for penis girth procedures in the last year.

Millennials also rank highly, with a 39 percent increase, but those under the age of 30 have made it the latest viral trend to take part in, for a number of reasons.

While the most common type of the procedure involves injecting hyaluronic acid along the shaft to enhance girth, symmetry, and appearance, with effects usually lasting up to a year.

As stated on the Harley Street Skin Clinic website, the non-surgical technique 'involves injecting dermal fillers, like hyaluronic acid, to enlarge the penis’ circumference', which can even 'enhance sexual experience'.

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers aren't the only fillers used, with calcium hydroxylapatite fillers and poly-l-lactic acid fillers also an option for those looking to increase the girth of their old chap, as the latter two can also have effects that last up to 24-36 months.

According to @thenewsmovement, who spoke to experts at the clinic, it can cost anywhere between £1,800 and £5,000.

While most of those who opt in to the procedure have an 'average' erect penis circumference, which is said to be the size of a tea light or shot glass, patients say they feel 'self-conscious' about their size, claiming that a larger and winder penis will please any prospective sexual partners they may have.

A man identified by the pseudonym 'Aiden' spoke to the publication, claiming he 'didn't quite measure up' to mates at the gym, or penises he saw in porn, admitting he has an 'average-sized penis', with reassurances from ex-girlfriends not enough.

He said he felt a 'dent' in his manhood, knocking his confidence, though after undergoing the procedure, he claimed he 'looked thicker, felt firmed and even appeared to be a little bit longer'.

"Just knowing I look better has taken the pressure right of," he added, saying that the procedure was a 'lifesaver', though he has no plans to reveal what he'd done to his friends.

Harley Street Skin Clinic say that the popularity of the nonsurgical procedure is linked to social media, gym culture, and even sexting.

The Managing Director of Harley Street Skin, Sophie Cooper, said that the interest in penis fillers has skyrocketed in the past 12 months, noting that the openness of young men requesting the treatment and the rate who are willing 'to return for regular top-ups to maintain the added girth', stood out to her.

"The increase shows just how central body image has become for Gen Z, who are placing treatments once considered taboo firmly in the mainstream," she admitted.
