A woman died after her cosmetic surgery in Turkey went horrifically wrong.

Ana Bárbara Buhr Buldrini had ‘partied with her surgeon the night before’ the procedure. The Brazilian-Mozambican influencer had travelled to Istanbul with her husband for a number of reasons, including a honeymoon and a promotional agreement with a local private hospital.

It is said the singer had a commercial agreement with Tusa Hospital and was going to promote the clinic, according to Turkiye Today. The 31-year-old was to undergo a breast augmentation, liposuction and a nose job.

“She wanted to undergo these procedures to improve her aesthetic standards. It was a dream of hers,” her husband, Elgar Miles, told Brazilian news outlet, O Tempo.

It is also reported the couple partied with the physician who would be doing the surgeries on Saturday night (14 June), The Daily Mail says.

Miles said the couple had asked about changing the date of the procedure (initially scheduled for Wednesday) to give more recovery time.

However, he alleges she was taken in earlier than scheduled.

“We went to the clinic on Sunday just to see the place, but the doctor wanted to perform the procedure without Ana being prepared,” Miles said.

He claims Buldrini was persuaded to go ahead the day after the night out and he was assured ‘there were no problems’.

It’s alleged his wife was not appropriately prepared for the operation. Miles said she was required to have fasted, but she went into the procedure after having eaten.

Once the influencer was out of the operation room on Sunday night, her husband said he was sent a photo by the doctor of her recovering.

He says he was told she was still under anaesthesia and would awaken shortly. However, he noticed a change in move with ‘the assistants acting strangely’.

“I went down to the ground floor and a doctor said that her heart was beating slowly, another said that she was already dead.” Miles said.

Buldrini reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest and died after the procedure.

“I lost control. I cried, shouted, and punched the walls. I saw her in the morgue. She is looking beautiful, but she was dead,” her husband told reporters.

In a statement via Turkiye Today, Tusa Hospital has said Buldrini was referred to as a dental surgery patient and that she had been given full legal and medical information, signing all necessary consent forms. It added that she had an ‘unexpected complication’ during recovery and attempts to revive her were unsuccessful.

“Despite all efforts by our expert anaesthesiology team, the patient could not be resuscitated,” the statement said. The hospital says it is cooperating with authorities with legal procedures in place to determine the cause of death.

In a tribute to his ‘queen’ on Instagram, Miles wrote: “Everything hurts me! The body, the heart, the soul, the eyes from crying so much, the mouth from screaming so much because the anger doesn't end. You became even more beautiful The guilty of this will pay even if I go to hell fighting. JUSTICE WILL BE DONE. But at the same time, I think I'm not strong enough to fight too. I ask that you look after me, my love, as you always did.”

LADbible has contacted Tusa Hospital for further comment.
